CHICAGO - Dinner Sat April 1

Hey all, had to cut a vaca short so am in town for Saturday April 1.

anyone up for early dinner?

I'm thinking Argyle Street for some great Vietnamese or maybe Mid Eastern (near Kedzie & Lawrence) but am open to other suggestions. Only requirement is that it is early (no later than 6pm as I despise waiting for a restaurant)

I'm around. I'd prefer not Vietnamese/Cambodian/Thai because all the peanuts severely limit my choices. Any Middle Eastern sounds great, however. I may have to make an afternoon on the North Side and hit Hot Doug's for a sausage for a late lunch to tide me over!

Early dinner for Middle Eastern it is, I know of a place on Kedzie, just south (2-3 doors down) of Kedzie & Lawrence.

Shall we say 5pm?

ok - my email has been dead since last night (I think the ISP needs to clean out the log files again), so call me if anything changes - same goes for the thread lurkers who know who you are.

I'm going to leave now and do some shopping, and will be there at 5.

I stopped by the restaurant at 5pm sharp -- no sign of anyone remotely FT-ish. The waiter said there wasn't a reservation or anything.

Oh well, maybe next time.

At 5pm sharp, the other two were running a bit late so I was shopping in the market just south of the restaurant. At 5:20, we all were seated, seeing as it was early there were only three other tables with patrons, so it would have been easy to ask "R U a FT'er?" as I've had to do when meeting new faces.

As you stated, next time.

Sorry I missed y'all, but the earliest I could've made it over was 6. But I heard the food was good, complete with leftovers, and company was great. Hopefully next time

well, I left right at 5:05pm.. however, I did see potentially FTers hurry into the restaurant.. was it someone who parked a black car? or someone in a tan jacket?

in any case, next time...

The company was great? Did some non-posters show up?
