I arrived

Just a short note that I'm in Innsbruck until Friday and then will be at the Hilton downtown.

Let me know if there are any changes and if not, I'll get back with everyone in a couple of days.

Take care.

I thought we would have a few of us meet at the City Hilton and then drive to Nordfriedhof. Are we still meeting up here or at the station?

Also, who will have the FT sign so we know who to look for? Need to figure that one out for all us travelers.

I'm here at the Hilton now so if anyone needs to get with me, just PM me or call the hotel. I'm in room 5103.

Welcome to Munich.

It might be the easiest if you just take public transportation (any S-Bahn to Marienplatz, then U-Bahn U6 up to Nordfriedhof).

Just in case anyone would like to reach me - my cell is +49 (0) 172 8178513.

Hey y'alls!!!

Daydream, after checking out my cell phone and talking sweetly to it, has determined that its battery is as dead as Bela Lagosi. Soooo, my alternate method of contact is either by PM here on FT or VM at my hotel:

Renaissance Marriott, 49 89-360990. Ask for Ms. Johnston's room.

Looking forward to meeting everyone on Monday night.

BTW, after consulting with my, erm, legal counsel, I suggest we move our venue to an equally convenient spot with infinitely better würst at better prices. It has the added value of having nice long tables in the back (near the grill) where it's convenient for chatting and easy to hook up with strangers. It is:

Bratwurstherzl
Dreifaltigkeitsplatz 1, City Center
Tel. 089 295113

Same time, 7 p.m. Cheers, jeers, brickbats?

Sounds OK to me.

essxjay, if you need a GSM phone - I still have an old Motorola Timeport phone lying around, which you can borrow.

Will not make Monday's meeting

I will not be able to meet up with everyone on Monday since I'm in Prague until Tuesday. I'm at the Hilton Prague and I can say this is one very nice property!!!!

I'll see everyone on Thursday. I'll go ahead and take the train as addressed above. Anyone else doing this same thing or how will we meet up? I'll be looking for the car with the French plates. Hopefully there will be very few around.

You should be able to recognize us... don't worry. Look for a bunch of people though, not for a certain car - parking spots directly at the U-Bahn exit can be hard to catch.

They will reward you with a premium parking spot in Trudering, aka "KFZ-Verwahrungsstelle". Cost is about 350 Euros for the first night, which includes the tow truck.

Hello,

just a note from my side: On "Bratwurstherzls" website are the opening times:

Sonn- und Feiertags haben wir geschlossen.
=Closed on sundays and public holidays. And today is a public holiday...

That's a valid point. I'd say we still meet there, and go look for a place that's open for dinner together.

Ok, lets try to figure out the car deal, not that we end up either with three nearly empty cars going or only one car and 8 people..

I take whatever car my family has leftover that day, and I will have SXJ in said car and most likely RCS85551 . Means I have two spots left open.
jpdx will meet up with us in Andechs, so he will not be able to take anyone.
