We're figuring out location now.
I'm staying at a HGI near the airport.

Will post to this message when location is decided.

Exclamation Bill Johnson says: "Let's Eat!"

I'll be away from under my rock on a mileage run, but I'd suggest y'all try the original Bill Johnsons Big Apple, near the airport, the joint hasn't changed since I used to go there in the 60's.

Looks okay to me......

I assume they have a license to sell libations harder than root beer?

..... umm... should we consider something a little more west so Jan can join us?

There's a Bill Johnson's waaaay NW but that may overshoot Jan's location.

If you guys don't mind a 20 year old college kid, I'd be happy to join. I might also be able to persuade my sidekick Preppybanker to join us if you don't mind setting up a children's table.

How about this location as a compromise - right off the freeway - not too far from the airpot - and gettable too by 9pm for me

I am going to dissent on Big Apple. I was going to suggest Barrio Cafe (2814 N 16th Street), but I'm not sure if that will appeal to everyone.

Perhaps My Florist would be better suited to a large group. They're at 530 W. McDowell Road. Unfortunately, that's the best I can come up with west of Central.

Either restaurant would be fine with me.

I took BikeGuy to Barrio Cafe -- based on reviews I had heard. We were sorely disappointed.

My Florist is very central... and there's a coffee shop down the street for after-dinner lingering. Never eaten there, but I've seen it.

> Mi Patio at 7th Ave. and Osborne has decent food, and they have a semi-private back room. They have the best Mexican food I've had in central central PHX (which isn't saying much).

> The Spaghetti Factory on Central just before McDowell?

The *other* Bill Johnsons location may be a little far-flung.

Here's another idea (though I haven't ever been there before):

Sierra Bonito at 6933 N. Seventh Street, near Glendale Avenue.

I'm sorry to hear of your disappointing experience with Barrio Cafe, V.J. I'd suggest giving them another try. I've only been a couple times, but have had great service and inventive, delicious food. My biggest complaint is their outrageous wine markups. My favorite Mexican spot remains Los Sombreros in Scottsdale, though.
