I'm sorry to hear of your disappointing experience with Barrio Cafe, V.J. I'd suggest giving them another try. I've only been a couple times, but have had great service and inventive, delicious food. My biggest complaint is their outrageous wine markups. My favorite Mexican spot remains Los Sombreros in Scottsdale, though.

I like this one --- Since I will be coming from work ( 59th and Olive) - should be able to be there by 9

Sure, I'll come. I vote for Bill Johnsons (original location; I'm downtown) or My Florist -- haven't been there, but have heard good things.

Sierra Bonito

Based on above posts and e-mails, the restaurant will be:

Sierra Bonito
6933 N. 7th Street (near Glendale Ave)

Please re-confirm you attendance and I'll make the reservation next week.

Hope everyone can attend.

Count me.....tentatively in. I have two conflicting pulls, one in Dallas and the other Sydney, NSW. But I have a feeling that they will be shoved out, hence I am putting my marker in as a possible.

Glad that it isn't too far west as I will come in from Fountain Hills. At that time of day I may have to utilize a copter.

Can someone from PHX please post the phone number of Sierra Bonito?

The only number I could find is for a restaurant near the airport, not "our" location at 6933 N. 7th (near Glendale).

THANKS

I ate at Sierra Bonita this summer and thought it was okay. We had reservations for 7, and though punctual we still had to wait 20 minutes for a table. This is not a very large restaurant.

I think entrees are in the $10-$18 range.

I had suggested the original Carolina's in South Phoenix, but they close too early. I'm glad you guys didn't go for Bill Johnson's. Ugggg. Might as well go to Denny's.

I'm playing in the FT weekly poker game, so as soon as I'm done, I should be able to head over.
