But in this case, there's really no excuse for that...there is an ocean (and a pool, I think) very nearby... :D

Yup. Kiwi Flyer had figured it out as well. No possibility to mix OZ and Bali that weekend.

The Westin is by the ocean and has pools! :D Actually the Westin Resort has two different kind of accomodation. One just called as hotels, and the other one called ROYAL BEACH CLUB which consists of 14 RBC Rooms, 14 RBC Terrace and 20 RBC Suites. Thus, three plats will not need to fight over the suites. :D :D :D But you all can fight for Premier Suite and Presidential Suite. ;) :)

MovieMan Apr 14, 2005 9:38 am

OK all, I'm confirmed. Have booked the following:

27May SIN-DPS SQ142 0935-1205
29May DPS-SIN SQ147 2005-2235

Going solo, unless something unforeseen happens. ;)

Not sure of hotel yet, but will probably stay at the Westin. Probably less than zero chance to get the RBC rooms, though! :( Hope you plat guys enjoy them! ;)

Therefore, we need to decide which one for Friday, which for Saturday. My thinking is, since the birthday girl arrives late Friday 7pm, we should aim for later time instead of 19:30.
Another consideration, since MAN Flyer will be available only on Friday night, we should check with him, which one of the three will be his first choice (as he is an SQ PITA ;) , therefore gets the FIRST choice always ... :D :) :D
But from the "busy" situation restaurant wise, most probably it's easier to get reservation at KuDeTa for Friday night, instead of Saturday night.
What do you think guys?

Correct, CGK. ^
We did receive good reviews of Teba Cafe the last time we organized something there in March.

Now that cawhite60156 is arriving the day before, should we keep the dinner at 19:30?

Haven't heard from MAN Flyer...
Any dinner preference, Sir?

CGK: I don't think getting a reservation at Ku De Ta for either night would be a problem - that is we decide pretty soon! :)

FWIW, I'm fine with dinner at 1930. The only change I'd possibly make to my arrival is if the Friday morning flight availability opens up in the next couple of days. Otherwise, looks like an extra day on the beach and possibly at a spa for me! :)

BTW, when is everyone else planning to depart DPS? I'm currently on the 2005 (SQ147) departure on Sunday, same as MovieMan ^

StarG Apr 14, 2005 10:36 am

Got you down, MovieMan. :)

I have been having jetlag - just slept from 1900 straight to 2300.
Funny considering I didn't leave Asia the past week. :D

Now to figure out where to stay...
Westin, Sheraton, Conrad, Nikko, The Legian, etc.
Would probably be travelling with the two juniors as well... :)

I will be around on the Friday only and dinner preference is just any non-seafood exclusive a la No Signboard, where I look like Billy-no-mates sat there with a plate of Mee Goreng while you lot get about 15 courses delivered :D .

MAN Flyer: I am glad you checked this thread. I am embarassed at the moment since I sent you a PM (but I did not use a space bar in between your name), somebody else got the message. And when I resent to your correct name, this what I got:

MAN Flyer has exceeded their stored private messages quota and can not accept further messages until they clear some space.
