These are usually on Thursdays, yes? I need to get myself to one, it's been too long. I could do Jan 12 or 19, but by a metro is far better for me.

If you get yourself to Dunn Loring, I'll pick you up if you want to try for the 5th (and I don't have that business trip).

Thursdays seem to be rough for folks but we keep ending up with that date. How about a Sunday, does that work better for folks? I know I'm out of town the last two weekends of the month, but it could be an option for others.

Sundays are good for me. 12th and 19th also work for me.

Alas, 5th isn't likely for me. Sigh.

Me neither - I'll be in SEA that week. Thursdays may now be tougher as most of my travel will now be Su-We, Mo-Th, or Tu-Fri - so, essentially, it'll be tougher to get weekdays - which sucks for this next one - I live right at 495/50! Hope to be at one soon!

Always near a Metro stop
 

I suggest we always have the DO near a Metro stop. Otherwise you lose anybody who doesn't (like to) drive. Why make it difficult for some? There are plenty of places near Metro stops.

Since I'm about 30 minutes from the nearest metro which is the western point of the metro system, and lots of folks are further out than I am, it's not always possible ... most times if we're away from a metro someone is available to provide rides to those that need it.

Let's stick with Greveys for January ... if anyone wants to set up a second date during the month, go for it. This one is because Sweet Willie will be in town.
