So, it looks like I arrive at 6:30 PM on Wednesday evening. I should be checked into the Sheraton Gateway Suites and settled by 7:30 PM if that helps to decide when & where to meet.

Since bseller is joining us, I'll make the suggestion before he does ():

Zia's, 6699 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago

Northern Italian (Tuscan/Ligurian)

One of us will be able to pick you up, as the hotel is only about 10 minutes from the restaurant.

Well there's always lunch on Friday the 29th... if a certain person can be convinced to not leave for that week's debauchery until 4ish.

Sounds great!

So what is a Flat Top? Around these parts it's a hairstyle. So far, Friday lunch is wide open, but later (1 - 2 PM) would be better.

A Flat Top is an aircraft carrier

http://metromix.chicagotribune.com/s...0,622223.venue

I think this is the one they usually go to, I have only joined these guys for lunch once, at some Cajun place. There were a couple of AA fans there and everyone drank diet Coke....

I`ll be flying in from Europe on the 29th, will be landing at 12:25 pm. I would definitely want to join. If immigrations run smoothly, I should be able to be downtown around 1:30.

Man, that looks good. Kind of like a Mongolian BBQ in a bowl, eh?

Noticed the Cubs were playing Arizona while I'm in town. Might have to spend an afternoon at Wrigley on Saturday. ^

Keep scheduling...I'm currently out of town and don't have the calendar handy...and I know better than to commit to anything without looking at it first...but I'll make it to what I can

I'll try to be in the lobby as close to 7:30 as possible. Not sure what clothing I'll be wearing, but I'll have a gray pith helmet on my head. Also, look for a bearded guy 6'2" and weighing in around 280 lbs.

Gotta work 1-11pm on Wednesday, unless I can finagle a swap. However, I should be able to make a 1:30 pm Flat Top on Friday if people are going...

Way up there?

I could do FT on Friday for lunch.

BTW, anybody interested in going to see the Cubbies on Thursday with me? I got two great seats (field box) at a silent auction recently.
