Tokyo Dinner February 15th
Jerrie and I will be in Tokyo and getting together with mjm, Jet2K and his wife for a tour of Roppongi and dinner.
Anyone else going to be around and interested in joining up with us?

I'm on the late UA flight from SFO-NRT, scheduled to arrive on the 15th at 5pm, which means I won't reach my hotel in Shinjuku before 7:30pm that night. So maybe I could join for drinks or coffee later on?
Probably mjm will just take you to Heartland after dinner!

If we do the tour of Roppongi Hills late enough we can probably manage to get dinner, which I was thinking of doing in Ebisu at a kushiyaki place I like there, started at or around that time. Thoughts?

Well, if you all pick a time to be at Heartland or some other easy-to-find place, like Geronimo Shot Bar, I could probably be there by 9:30 if my flight wasn't late. I have a Japanese cell phone but it usually has lost its charge when I get there so it doesn't work for a while.

Either of RichardInSF's bar suggestions sound good for getting together later in the evening. Just in case if anyone needs to reach us, my wife (Liz) and I are staying at the Tokyo Bay Intercontinental from 2/12 to 2/20, located at 1-16-2 KAIGAN TOKYO, 105 Tel: 81-3-54042222
Where should we meet for the tour of Roppongi earlier in the day?

I am thinking a rendexvous spot that wouyld be good is the Spider in front of the main office building in Roppongi Hills. If you can find the Tower the Spider (25 ft. tall) stands immediately at its base.
Jet2K, I live in that neighborhood (near your hotel) so will share a taxi back with you at the end of the evening if you are game.
Timewise, I am pretty flexible, but was thinking somewhere in the 5pm-ish range for a meet and walk. Earlier is possible, but I need to be out of commission from about 4:30 to 5:00.
Heratland is far preferable to Geronimo for me so if I get to choose that is where I will cast my vote. Dinner in Ebisu at Kushiyaki? We can run over on the subway easily from here (Roppongi) and then pop back for after dinner bevvies for those that would like to do so. Jet2K what time works best for you two? I assume that dinner at the right time would be for 5 of us?
My mobile is available via e-mail ([email protected]) and I am looking forward to seeing all of you here soon.

The spider in front of the Mori tower is a good choice
How about meeting at 5:30pm, or 6pm if that give everyone a little more time to not have to rush?
Sharing a taxi sounds good Mike, I will email you for your mobile number. I should have internet access from the hotel, and plans to monitor this thread for any updates.
I am looking forward to good food and great company.

I certainly know what room to find you in at Heartland! Plus their beer price is very competitive. I like the place. The only question for me is whether I'll make it (flight on time, etc.). If not, maybe there can be a followup GTG some other night. I'll have email access, cell phone, etc., and will be staying at someplace other than the GH, but still not too shabby.

Richard, I hope you can make it on the evening of the 15th. Otherwise, my wife and I will be in town until 2/20, so perhaps we can get together another evening as well?
