I guess the appeal of Fort Worth (for me) and why I suggested it was going somewhere that Dallas doesn't have in every neighborhood. :(
I've thrown out several suggestions... none have been well received. Others have thrown out several suggestions. Its still on my calendar, but I honestly can't excited enough to get up and drive for something that's a chain. |
One last attempt.
Are Dave & Swag still interested? I know others are location maybes. Two suggestions: 1. Fuzzy's lunch for Jen. (I didn't know they were open on Sunday...) We'll probably lose the far away contingent (Sorry :(). 2. Meet somewhere at Southlake Towne Square for lunch. Not as far as FTW for some, but I'm sure Jen isn't all that interested. (Sorry :(). I'd say Po'Melvins or Taco Diner. Begin working on some to give FTW one chance in the future... ;) or Give up and start thinking about August and/or September. |
Option 2 is certainly more palatable (pun intended) from a location standpoint. I'd be game. The two options (Taco Diner being preferred over Po'Melvins) seem more like lunch menus, so what time are you thinking about?

Yup, still free on Sunday. I haven't been to most of the places being discussed, so no strong opinions.

I have to be in Fort Worth on Sunday (about four blocks from Fuzzy's).
Southlake will *probably* work for me depending on what time I have to meet my realtor. Taco Diner is fine with me although Brio across the street does have a brunch menu too (and good bellinis!) and might be another good option for the future. We'll work on FW again for the future... I know it always gets a few groans of "its too far for me to drive" - but given that the FW contingent has been growing over the years and NEVER complains that its too far to drive to our primarily Dallas-centered events, I don't think its unreasonable to schedule a few things a year over on that side of the universe. (And contrary to popular Dallas opinion, you don't need your passport to cross the Tarrant County line!) |
I have no problem with looking at other stuff in Towne Square, but for now I say we stick to Taco Diner unless there is a great outcry. My main intent was to limit the number of eateries considered to 1 or 2, and see if we still have interest.
What (almost??) derailed this one was the volume of suggestions put out, of which me, Angela, & (presumably) Jen take full responsibility. ;) |

I am interested in attending as well... its interesting that no one has mentioned places that are on aa.rewardsnetwork.com... wouldn't that be the logical choice for points hording members of FT?
How soon will a location be locked? |

Count me as a yes + 1 (I'm going to introduce my girlfriend to these crazy folks who fly like I do)...
Random side note, I ran into txaggiefan at Boston Logan yesterday... we'll have to make sure we get something scheduled over the holidays that she can join us for. :) |
