Sorry I wasn't able to come out today. I have infusion every six weeks and its hard to get into/reschedule an appointment, particularly with heavy travel. After I was done having benadryl and lots of drugs pumped into my veins, I don't think my body could have handled crawfish (or the beverages that are obligatory for me with the mudbugs!)

Crawfish was good...but not cooked in seasoned water. Pappdeux's does not leave that buring sensation on your lips.

Had a bottle of "German Reisling" that paired very well with the bugs !!!

Looks like I'll be in town on June 23-25 and probably open for dinner/drinks each night.

I leave for Singapore on the 23rd so I'll miss you this time around.

Sorry to miss you. After several months of being mostly in the DFW area, I have started a project which has me going back and forth to RIC (where I am all week this week).

So who's up for trying to get these going again? (And more important, who other than me is willing to help out with planning... I can do some of the months, but I can't do it all!)

Well, not a huge response, I guess, but it looks like we might have enough interest to get a quorum together. My own November is pretty busy thru the 12th, but unusually clear after that.

Is there interest in a Dinner gathering sometime in the 2nd half of the month? I recall from past years that the Mon & Tue of Thnaksgiving week often find people not on the road...

The Tuesday of Thanksgiving would work for me as well.

Because of the slowness of Thanksgiving week, my wife and I are taking a mini vacation to Nawlins... so I would be out that week, but carry on. Midweek in early December will likely work for me.
