The great thing about "DO" weekends is the fact that you can join in as much or as little as you would like. Sometimes I may come in and only attend the Saturday dinner but if it is a city I have never visited I may make plans with another FTer and play tourist all day. When looking for FT people just look for the oddest group of people who don't look like they all should be hanging out together. It's an open group of people who generally don't discriminate against age, race, creed, etc. though someone might have issues with you if you are an elite in the "wrong" FF program

I only have one point of view but sometimes looking at past events give you some idea about what to expect. Here is a link to my photos from other events.
