Hello all,

I am about to graduate this May (2013), from a private credible university with a Biochemistry degree. I have worked at the university in the Chemistry Dept. working with many chemicals and doing lots of prep work and chemical inventory. I would love a job that allows me to utilize my degree and skills that involves traveling 75% or more of the time. Any information is much appreciated!

Airline Stewardess?

I've been looking into pharmaceutical sales, many companies want prior sales experience but I have none. I'd love to be in the field of pharmaceutical sales.

what are you asking for? Are you asking if anyone here i looking to hire you? are you asking if anyone here has a similar degree and travels alot to tell you about their position so you can seek a similar one? are you looking at how to earn FF miles while paying your student loans from the private university so you can travel the world?
Second why do you want a job with travel? i used to travel from project to project and let me tell you being away and sleeping in hotels every nihgt is not all that great, vacation travel is where it is at. work travel and vacation travel is not the smae or ever close.

It really depends on your type of personality and where you are in life. When I graduated college 3 years ago, I was single (dating) and ready for new experiences. I work for an accounting firm and travel a decent amount (90 nights last year, small potatoes compared to some I know) and for the last couple years I haven't really minded the traveling. I have seen new places and met new people, and above all else I have been able to stockpile a decent amount of hotel points and airline miles. I only got into credit card churning about 6 months ago, but even before that I had accumulated probably 500k Marriott points from butt-in-bed nights using the Marriott credit card and taking advantage of various promotions.

Now I am engaged and hope to have a reduction in travel next year so that I am not out of town all the time (probably not conducive to a happy first year of marriage) but I don't regret any of the travel I have done in the past. Above all else, I am paying for our 2 week vacation in Hawaii on points alone.

OP, don't let anyone tell you what you will or won't enjoy. If you want to travel, go for it!

Set up meth labs for the cartels, you're job environment will dictate that you'll be traveling around a lot, likely never in one place very long. Imagine the places you'll get to visit...

...MilesBuzz is now seeking resume postings?

I would look for employment with Colombian company. Preferably in Medellin, Columbia.
Not you only will you fly in commercial airplane, you may actually drive a submarine, cargo boat and perhaps very very fast leer jet.

Big consulting.

I worked for Arthur Andersen and traveled about 300nts/yr for 10 yrs. You might end up traveling to po-dunk-ville every week, but you'll rack up some status and points to go wherever you want on vacation.

Then you'll either burn out, have a needy husband/wife/baby, or keep moving up eventually becoming a partner. Then the company will go bust or you'll retire.

Another field related to pharmaceutical sales would be sports-medicine related. Either selling actual medicine or nutritional supplements of a similar nature.

I am very interested in parmaceutical sales. I would love to know of any companies you guys are familiar with.

And I want a job with travel because I am young, not married and don't plan on setteling down for quite some time. It had always been a dream of mine to travel frequently in my job no matter the destination. I enjoy new experiences and am very ambitious.

I was just thinking I was going to ask the forums what I should be doing with my life...

I think you can redeem 100k AA miles for a job in pharma sales. If you do it right, you may even be able to tack a free one-way ticket onto that job.
