Spring is in the air, so put your drinks in the air as well by raising a glass!

Friday, April 28th, 2023 at 2000 EDT (1700 PDT)

As always...

Drunk DO Rules
  • You must have a drink or beverage of some sort (does not necessarily have to be alcoholic but it is certainly encouraged)
  • You must be of legal drinking age in your locality to consume alcohol
  • Do not share the link outside of FT without the approval of GW McLintock
  • Screen sharing is restricted to Zoom hosts
  • All regular FlyerTalk Rules apply, and any issues can be taken up with GW or another co-host

several of the regulars will be in ANC, but that probably won't deter some or all from joining (after all, it'll be earlier than usual )

I was supposed to go as well! That would have been fun, a Drunk DO from Alaska. Unfortunately I couldn't swing three entire weekends in a row out of town.

No... The webcam works alright as a photo camera, but it just does not like being used on Zoom. I am unsure if its a fault on the camera or the webcam just can't handle zoom as it works just perfect on Messenger video chats

My webcam is the same one since I bought this Windows 7 x64 computer nine years ago. I think it is USB 2.0. I can't tell for sure because its support elements are mostly in Japanese. It is a standalone webcam. I can move it, although not easily. (Consider my forays to show you when Mirko decides to sit on the bed behind me.)
The 'advantage' I now have is that my internet connection is 1GB Fiber, which tends to overcome any difficulties involving flickering | buffering.
What is your connection speed?

46.41MBS download and 30.10MBS upload at the moment - the local firm is upgrading though

We are less than a week away from the DO! Please continue to use the wiki to sign up.

I will not be staying late this time as I have a very early flight the following morning. I suppose this may be another instance of where I win the DO if I make it to the airport in time, but that is never guaranteed
