Catman's friend Tucker passed along a phone number for me to call. Mark didn't pick up so I'll try again.
The message from Tucker - Mark is more alert than he's been recently. No improvement on the physical.
I'll post an update if and when I talk to Catman. Mark loved hosting SoupDo, and I know that he appreciates the effort taken by FriendlySkies to organize this event in 2023. Mark would be pleased.

I know FriendlySkies will do a good job, though no one can replace Catman

If I don't clear the wait-list maybe I can meet you guys after somewhere nearby. There's the Red-eye Grill nearby which would be a perfect place to grab a drink after.

I was looking over the list and realized that stravels is on there twice. Unless that's a spot for a +1, cancelling the duplicate should leave a space for stockmanjr.

In conjunction with the famed Brooklyn Reality Tour, led by dhammer53 , the SoupDO has always been held the night before at La Bonne Soupe at 48 W 55th Street.
Due to Catman being unavailable, I'd like to get an idea of who would be interested. La Bonne only does a set menu/charges a lot of $$$ if a lot of folks attend. As such, we're going to cap attendance at 14 and will clear folks from ‘stand-by’ if anybody has to drop out.
If I recall correctly, they do not allow for split checks, so please bring cash (or be prepared to Paypal/Venmo/Zelle) to make it easy on the restaurant and your fellow FTers.
The menu is here. We'll say 7:30pm on the 2nd which should allow plenty of time for folks flying into NYC on Friday to make it to their hotels and drop bags/get a drink beforehand.
Hope to see you all there!
