Hi all,

I'm very sorry to do this, but I won't be able to make this do (for personal reasons). Jen, you have a PM.

Hoping to, yes...but it's going to be a tight squeeze. And, first mate limits lunch options.

CDK, I am on the boat any fair weather weekend. PM me if you are local.

@ Folks, please confirm. If we lost 1 more, we'd be fairly comfortable on the boat. 7+ me is going to be a tight squeeze, but probably not any more tight that economy on Ryan Air

part of me wonders if you left out a comma, but another part of me wonders if you (maybe subconsciously) left out the word "for"

I'm still in as well. But wondering if there's any more thoughts on the Saturday night and Sunday options. It doesn't look
like there's anything at Hatch Shell Saturday night. I have other friends to see while there so trying to piece it all together.
I could be VDB if Saturday day turns out to be the best time to see them and there are other DO activities Sat night and
Sunday.

VDB?

Final count is important because I need to make a decision on whether to charter a boat. Zorak, you are flying in, you should definitely join us!!!

Also, I have looked online, and it looks like absolutely nothing is going on in a public space on Saturday night. So, it looks like dinner reservations are in order. We can do the following dinner options:

1. Casual group Sichuan (hopefully at Peach Farm, dinner approx $20-$30),
2. Casual seafood (Summer Shack, dinner approx $20-$30),
3. Formal seafood (Ostra or Select Oyster Bar, dinner approx $50)
4. Formal steak/seafood (Grill 23 or Boston Chops, dinner $50+)
5. High end Italian (Sorellina or Tresca, dinner $40-$50+)
6. Casual American (75 Chestnut or Moonshine 152, dinner approx $20-$30)

Please vote!

Once we get dinner nailed down, we'll worry about Sunday activities.

How many am I allowed to vote for? If I can vote multiple times, I would pick:

2, and 6, in that order.

If I can only vote for one, I'll vote for #2 .

I vote for any place that has at least one non-seafood option. Well, i do like some finer seafood options like tuna or swordfish (especially straight off the boat from Glostah!!!!). its just a taste/texture thing, not an allergy.
Taking a quick peek, seems all of them fit my food pickiness. #2 Summer shack has a swordfish, burger, chicken and steak options

I'll be there!

I'm very flexible on dinner options but at the moment I'm feeling #2 .

Thanks again for putting this altogether!

Summer Shack it is! 8pm
https://summershackrestaurant.com/boston

We may have drinks beforehand, but it's going to depend on the weather and how much time we spend on the boat (and how much time folks need to 'clean up' after boating).

Oh, and they have great fried chicken for us non seafood eaters

So, took the boat out for some scoping runs. It's gonna be great. Couple of things to relay to the group.

1. If anyone has significant boating experience (sail or power) that could help with navigation, anchoring, etc, please let me know.

2. If the wind picks up, the boat kicks up/eats up waves. Given the size of the boat, there is a very good chance you will get wet (with spray). And, we may anchor in some spots for a quick dip to keep cool. Therefore, please be prepared (bathing suits and/or quick dry clothes highly recommended). But you will need shirts and shoes for lunch service.

3. The head (toilet room) in the boat is small. The doorway to get into the head is less than 20 inches wide and standing headroom in the head is less than 5'8'. In case anyone is a person of size (and I am, but I can squeeze in) please be ready for some gymnastics or engage in a typical mariner activity (as there are limited spots along Boston Area Shoreline that has facilities).

4. Saturday plan (if weather permits) is to meet at 9:00a at the boat (East Boston) or 10a in downtown Boston (wharf TBD). We will then head north to view the the iconic Boston Harbor lighthouses and gorgeous harbors of Marblehead and Manchester before heading to Gloucester for lunch. An afternoon tour thru the Annisquam River channel, Rockport and Ipswich before returning home. I assume we'll get back to Boston area around 5. I'll have a cooler, soft drinks and snackies for the boat. Alcohol is BYOB. Gas contributions appreciated but not required.

4. Sunday Options include (each approx $50)
a. Boston Duck Tour and USS Constitution (to keep the nautical theme)
b. 3.5 hour private narrated tour of key spots on the freedom trail https://www.therevolutionarystorytour.com

Thinking we'll start between 9:30 to 10:30 (morning breakfast/brunch is unstructured). And end between 2 and 3 (so that folks can pack up and head to the airport). Late lunch is possible (after our tour) but unplanned at this point.

That's all folks!
