Shall we try for 10 bucks on that one? ;)

Probably get $5 if you offered it on eBay the way folks bid on all kinds of whacky stuff. :p

I've never even heard of a transmedia card...ah, youth! ;)

I've updated the first page to reflect M & S grill in DC on the Friday, June 25th - I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it or not as I'll be heading up to JFK by train the next morning to go to KEF (couldn't get tickets out of BWI! :D)

For the August do, I would like to do it Thursday the 12th or Friday the 13th. Friday would be good if people don't mind a Friday do. I have one webber grill. I might be able to borrow a neighbors too. People can bring potluck to share, and maybe contribute to the buying of burgers and dogs. I will have vodka and gin martinis, chips and snacks, and some burgers and dogs and rolls. I need to know how many people. I will need to make a COSTCO run! Also, I will PM or email people directions since I don't want my address plastered all over the internet. Maybe we can get a keg too. What do you all think?

I also have a tacky white trash three and half feet deep, 15' around above ground inflatable pool for anyone who will want to stand in the water and drink. August in DC is hot!

I agree with you G2 -- a Friday night would be better for this type of event.

That being said, however, I will be unable to make it. I have a ticket to leave DCA on 8/13 @ 4 PM for the weekend.

Have fun!

Friday the 13th?

Currently, the 13th works for me as well too. I've got a Weber charcoal kettle style that I could bring over if need be (also got a beautiful cast-iron cooking surface Charbroil gas grill as well that makes the perfect grill marks that I'll be cooking on tonight - too big to bring over though).

I'll update the first page.

Really nice of you to offer your backyard, G2 ... unfortunately that's Sea-Doo weekend. Of course if the flights don't come down in price, I may find myself in DC that weekend after all :(

Hi to all the DC crew, thanks for the great evenings & sorry I've been out of circulation - had to finish writing this darn book...

Anyway, I'll be in town on June 16 if anybody's around for a drink or a bite to eat - be great to see you lovely people again.

Still hoping to move to VA one day...

If August 13 is bad, we can also do August 20.

My friend, Stuart, should be there as well.

August 20 will be the G2 do for DC since I will probably go to SEADOO the weekend before as well. I pretty much got talked into it at Mileage Addict's birthday party. Bahtnasx, please alert the first page of this thread.

I'd love to come the 25th and not just because my office is across the street. but i'm flying to chicago for the weekend on a 9:45 flight from dulles, which means that if people are really getting together at 8 p.m., can't make it.

oh can i suggest that we start a new topic for next month. It's getting hard to find things

Unfortunately, the time is correct for meeting up on Friday - sorry we'll miss you. :( Have a good trip.

Agreed ^ - if we can referesh the thread quarterly or so, it'd be great. The thread is awfully long at the moment.

I'm in for Friday. Is there a reason why it has to be so late? Not that 8:00 is late but since many of us work downtown 8:00 means hanging out at work for an extra hour or two on a Friday. Perhaps the late hour is the reason for the limited turn out. Would anyone else be able to make it if we were to start earlier, say 7:00? Just b/c it starts at 7:00 some people can still arrive at 8:00. Thoughts??
