... but not trees or Merry Flyers.

I am a very unhappy tree, and Merry Flyer is no more... maybe when we wake up tomorrow we'll be back?

(I probably shouldn't have fiddled with my profile - serves me right for playing with toys I hadn't figured out)

How do we know "baobad" is "baobab"? This could be roberto, or maybe arturo, or nancy.
And maybe Catman is not Catman anymore. Maybe Merry Flyer is now King, since no one else wants to be King. After all, the HR guy could have hired himself.

Jaws, I think I sound sufficiently like myself... (and I will answer e-mails sent to BAOBAB's address)

Besides, we all know that Merry couldn't fake anyone other than himself.

Just keep an eye on my spelling and colloquialisms - I will honour all my promises and make certain that my words are correctly spelt (in *English*)...

I see. It's like that is it (note the use of small words which I can spell)!.

I thought hhouour was spelt with two h's? (heeheehee).

And just in case there is any doubt 'Merry' is 'Merry Flyer', I will prove it.

Die dulci fruere.
Nick

For information on who Catman is, go to NJDavid's photo site.

As far as I know: I am a year old (as of 12-31) but nothing else has changed in the FlyerTalk software upgrade. CATMAN

I don't usually post personal information, so what I usually do is give clues as to the kind of person I am. Here goes:

To find out my real given name, all you need to know is my username and some Roman mythology. If you don't know much about mythology, here is another clue: what you eat every morning is name after my name.

To find out where I currently live, it's one of the most historic city in the American history. It's also called the "Bean Town".

To find out what I do, well, I have given that away somewhat in some of the postings. But six years from now, I hope to be just like George Clooney but the female version of him. Or maybe I will work for the company that made Viagra (for example).

To find out how old I am, you need to know this: I was born in the year of the rabbit. Combine this information with other information given, it should be relatively easy to guess my age.

To find out the country I was born: Northwest now flies there and is the only US airline to reach the country.

Happy guessing!

Reading through the postings, Baobab probaly lives five minutes away from me in Cambridge MA, demeter across the river... I bet if we have a flyertalk meeting conference in Boston, at least half a dozen people might show up!

Hello everyone...

My first name is Christian. I live in Canada
in the province (state of Quebec). I'm a civil servant there and i'm computer analyst.
I've never got to much chance before to travel (when i was a student all my money was neccessary to go to university, and i was working every summer for this purpose...).

I'm the kind of man that invest a lot of times in is hobby and do it like if a was alcoholic. The last three years was spend listening classical music (i've got a little collection). Before that i was volonteer in the sport of soccer (that's not to frequent in North America so imagine here in Canada the home of hockey). I was the trainer of different competitive teams through the years (5 or 6). Right now as you can see in my profile i've only one idea (to see the world).
I't can be great museum, great cities (Paris, London, all the capital of Europe ,New-york...)One of my greatest love as always be History so...I also want to see scenic places (the forest, the montains and the rivers). I hope i will be able to fulfill some of my wish but something is sure : i't will be a lot easier with all the great tips you fellows folks write in FlyerTalk

Thanks

Christian

P.S By the way my mother language is french so i hope i not offend you to much with some grammatical errors.

Hi All,

Ive been reading this thread for the past week and have finally decided to post some info about myself. I must say, I was suprised to hear that I'm not even close to being one of the youngest on this board. Sign of the times I guess. Every body has to fly these days.

Anyway, I grew up in NYC but moved to San Fran to go to school at Berkeley. Graduated in 95 and worked as a database analyst for a couple years at a retail company. Since then I have gone into consulting where I work for a big 5 firm. I average about 200,000 flight miles a year, as I travel back and forth to the client site every week. I just got my Executive Platinum status on American a few weeks ago. I feat that I did not think I would get. I switched to Continental for a few months, and did not qualify with the normal 100,000 executive platinum points. Although I flew over 100,000 miles on American last year, I did not by full fares on the majority of the tickets. I think I qualified based on the number of segments I flew instead (101 segments) though I never confirmed this. Anyway, this year I think Im going to switch allegences to United only because I enjoy flying the wide bodeied planes more than the 757s and the MD-80's. I am finally on a project that will allow me to fly United, so as soon as I get gold for next year on American, I will move my business over to United.

That's right, kyklin - I live in mid-Cambridge, 5 minutes each way to Harvard and MIT, and 10 minutes to downtown Boston.

It would seem that Demeter (or should we say Ceres?) is just across the Charles...

You guys put together a shindig at one of those famous Boston bars and I'd fly up for that (schedule permitting, of course)!

burkey - I guess I should say in six years, I will be the female version of Carter....sorry guys, I don't really watch the show but do know enough of the characters to make some sense to myself. As to how I can find the time to surf the web, well, it's all in the time management skill....it also doesn't hurt in the fact that I am on a three year paid vacation - I am doing my thesis work right now. Of course, I said that jokingly. PhD work is NOT a vacation, but compare to the med school load, it is a lot lighter and more manageable. But thanks for asking!
