Hello all,
Time to intoduce myself. If been poking around for about 4 months and posted a few questions. I am currently living in Las Vegas (or at least keeping my stuff there), but working from Baltiomre. I travel to from every couple of weeks and often weekend trips in-between. I work as a project manager/consultant for a full service IT company. As people at work joke, almost everything is "on the way" home for me. Anyway, just wanted to say Hi. I look forward to a gathering soon. Look for my Flyertalk tags.... Freefaller12k |

Finally, after many months of lurking, and about 6 months of letting my username go unused...
My handle comes from the fact that I teach communication and coach speech and debate at the college level. I teach at a small liberal arts college in one of NW's hubs. I do some traveling for that -- not as much as many of you, but usually when I go, I'm bringing lots of students with me. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif And since I tend to have more students than budget money, finding good fares has been very important. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif I'll post more in a couple of the other introductory threads. Thanks for the community that's been here on FT. |
Thanks for the info freefaller & speechguy...welcome to FlyerTalk http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif.

Boy, for someone who calls himself speechguy i'ts hard to believe youv'e been listening for six months without opening your mouth. Being a speech coach, you must know something the rest of us yappers don't. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
A belated welcome! |
Hello everyone. I've been reading the boards for several months and finally decided to introduce myself.
I work in the IT department of a major retailer. I got the job last year and have been traveling ever since. In the last year travel for this job has qualified me for gold status AA, silver status on USAir, a comp silver on Continental and I just missed it on NW. I live right under the flight path of DCA in Alexandria Virgnia, right across the river form Washington DC. One of the best things about this job is that it has allowed this opera fan to see performances in DC, San Francisco, Chicago and New York all in the same season. On the down side it also means that I can't subscribe because I never know where I'll be. Thanks to everyone on the board, I've learned a lot! |
Welcome, BTMiller. What a great opportunity to visit different opera companies. How do you get your tickets usually? Buying them out front from people who can't go--like in San Francisco? Do they do that in other cities, too?
Hope you'll post often on your trips in the Trip Reports folder. |
Welcome to all the new people. It is good to "see" some new faces!

Rudi,
I have seen photos of you and your lovely wife! No facial treatments are needed... -RKG [This message has been edited by RKG (edited 06-30-2000).] |

I only know my opinions about the airlines I fly - and I think that I may be disagreeing with some of the people on the Continental and Northwest boards. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif A belated welcome! |
