Been on the site for quite awhile.
I'm Natalie. In my day job, I coach competitive debating and public speaking to public school students in the primary, secondary and tertiary levels and also tutor English and humanities subjects (history, social studies and geography), occassionally doing content writing for educational materials and judge at debating competitions locally and internationally. On the wrong side of 30 but still feel like I'm 25. Outside of work, I save up for traveling. 2 leisure trips to Thailand/SouthEast Asia during the shorter school holidays and head west to Europe and North America in the winter for a month to get away from the sweltering year round sauna weather in Singapore. Colder the better. I'm pretty active on couchsurfing, taking in guests whenever the parents are out of town and love meeting people when traveling solo (all the time minus work trips). My companions on most trips are 2 stuffed Paddington Bears, a black bear, grey wolf, dog an alligator and Woodstock- hey everyone has an inner child in them. I got into the points and miles game back in 2015 when I started traveling for work to NorthEast Asia. Realized that I could book any economy ticket and I could have long layovers in BKK/HKG. Easily achieved BA bronze and earned a few thousand avios with that, and I also scored star alliance silver. Now I'm comfortably a BA silver post covid days. Since I wrecked my knee in 2018 in Chicago, I've only flown on PE for flights over 6 hours and occassionally upgrade in advance to J whenever I receive an upgrade bid/offer which I find worthy of spending the extra cash. At work, it's all professional but when class is done for the day, the sleeves come off and the ink is in full view. I'm heavily tattooed on my shoulders and legs. Instead of collecting souvenirs, I collect tattoos instead. New country/new state (In America)= once I've checked in to the hotel/hostel, it's tattoo time! I've got a massive 747 tattoo covering the accident scar on my left knee which is still a work in progress- whenever I head back to PDX for the next session and a small a380 tattoo on my right leg. You'll probably find me eating local food or going on a hike or having a gnt or rum and coke or pint somewhere too... |
Hey everyone,
I’m Rhiodan, originally from the UK but living in New York City. I’m here to chat about travel and pick up some tips from all of you. I like to get away when I can, whether it’s a quick trip or something bigger. I’ve got a few stories and maybe some useful info to share, and I’d love to hear yours too. When I’m not traveling, I’m usually just hanging out in the city, checking out new spots or trying to find the best pizza. Anyway, looking forward to being part of the community and seeing what everyone’s up to. Catch you later! RP |
Hi all,
I’m Danny, love traveling mainly to Asia from the Netherlands. Looking forward to share anything regarding travels! |
Just when you thought it was safe to go out at night
I'm back after a several year absence. Back when Megados were in single digits :-). Since then a million miler for UA. Looking forward to more adventures and renewing old connections. "When my ship comes in I'll probably be at the airport doing a mileage run!"

I've been on FT for over 20 years (whoa!) dating back to when I was a broke college student. Now I'm 42 years old, live in Virginia and work in finance for a large NYC based company (FP&A to be exact). Divorced with 2 young kids.
I got into the miles & points game back in 2004, when Bank of America had a US Airways credit card offer that gave elite status after a certain level of spend. I've probably opened and closed 20 or 30 credit cards since then for the sign up bonuses. I had US/AA elite status for many years, but since 2022 have been a "free agent." 95% of my flying is for business, and my time is more valuable than getting the miles now, so I tend to fly whichever airline has the best nonstop options to my destination. I hope to make another FT DO sometime in the coming year or two - I've been divorced for about a year so am still getting used to all the extra free time I have when I'm not working or with my kids! |
Hi, i would say i am the youngest FT :D
