Most of the world is just a few subway stops away.

That said, I'm now going to school in Utah. Go figure ;)

Welcome to FT!

Newbie from Manchester, UK. I'm a uni student looking for a summer internship. I joined because I thought you lot may know the best places to look. Interested in interning with airlines, airports or supporting industries - but I'm not an aspiring pilot or engineer - and that's what most schemes are designed for.

I know a lot of the American carriers run schemes - but these are all in exchange for 'college credits', and they won't accept people outside of these schemes (and they are often a year-long) - I'm free from late June to late September. I'm more than happy to work unpaid, I'm just after a foot in the door really.

I am a pretty recently retired police officer with two kids (ages 8 & 10) and a husband who works for an airline (also a retired police officer). The kids and I are attempting to visit all fifty states by June 2014 (layovers and stopovers don't count). We are blogging about our adventures at (if is is not againt the rules to post this).

In 2009, right after I graduated high school, I went on a road trip with a couple of friends with the goal of hitting all 48 contiguous states in the 35 days we had available. Although there were some days with quite a bit of driving, we were successful :) Feel free to get in touch with me if you want any ideas. And welcome to FlyerTalk :)

American expatriate, living in Stockholm since 1998. Just transitioning into a job that involves international business travel. My family and I have done a bit of traveling on our own dime over the years, but always looking for bargains. Still booking in economy for the most part, but I am here to learn.

I'm a youngster, and a massive fan of Aviation since late last year

I also love pilots!

Hi. I am an American living in Hong Kong. I will be gradating college (hopefully) within 1/2-1 year. I've studied abroad 3 times, and am interested in moving to a few more countries after graduating...so should probably learn more about flying such as ways to get the best deals, how to bring pets on board etc ^^
Nice to meet everyone!

Welcome !

of course you can offer good advice, being based in Vienna, perhaps this is a thread to contribute to: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/europ...tria-tips.html

I think some newbies are concerned that they don't have much to say, everyone has something to say about where they live!!:)

Just joined today, been a sneaker reader for a few months.

Software Tester from Kansas City, Missouri. Three member family, mostly travel for pleasure, only a few times a year for business, they like to keep me locked down.

Not a lot of flying right now, hopefully when the kid gets a little older and things are more stable, decent amount of road trips and hotel stays. Newbie Hilton HHonors Gold member.
