Greetings from your 2003 Secret Santa coordinators Mike (MJM) and William (wharvey).

This is the official thread for the 2003 Secret Santa Extravaganza. Any questions or comments should be limited to this thread (or emailed to Mike) and no other threads should be started.

We hope many of you choose to participate in this years event.

While you are thinking about what to get for your FT "friend", consider also purchasing a gift for a child or make a donation to your favorite charity.

Below are the rules for the 2003 Secret Santa event:

1. Any questions on the process should be directed to Mike. Mike's email is [email protected].

2. The expected limit on your gift purchase is $30 USD. Of course, I am sure no one will mind gifts of higher value or certain paper from airlines and hotels that are "priceless". http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

3. Secret Santa have the option of remaining anonymous. The coordinators will not disclose names nor addresses of anyone who participates to anyone other than their Secret Santa.

4. The coordinators assume no responsibility for delivery or non-delivery of gifts. We want this to be fun and hope that everyone who participates will have fun.

5. You must be registered on Flyertalk.com at the time you send your email. IF you are a lurker, you must register on Flyertalk.com before becoming a Secret Santa participant. You may also want to post in the "Who We Are" thread to introduce yourself to the community.

6. Deadline to participate is November 28th, 2003 (Rochester, NY date). If you wish to participate, you MUST send an email to William. William's email is [email protected]. In this email, you must provide the following information:

a. Your full name (first and last name)
b. Your email address (must be verifiable)
c. Your Flyertalk handle
d. Number of Flyertalk.com posts
e. Your mailing address for your gift. This address should be one where you can receive a package in December.
f. No more than three facts about yourself that might help your Secret Santa shop for your gift.
g. A "Yes" or "No" as to whether or not you are willing to send a gift outside your country. If at all possible, please be willing to ship out of your own country... especially for USA residents.

Please be sure to read Santa updates throught this thread!!!

I'm in, too; but I won't send the specifics on to you until I get back from France(I'm in an internet cafe with a French keyboard) unless the tech gets my DSL back up and running tomorrow.

BTW. .. if anybody has any spare or unused miles, they can always be donated to the Starlight Foundation for helping ill children and their families.

http://www.starlight.org (US) or www.starlight.org.au (Australia) or www.starlight.org.uk (Europe) that does great work for terminally ill children (couldn't help "plugging" this organization since I do volunteer work for them).

Santa is putting out an All Points Bulletin for lili-dui.

When Santa tries to reach Pat at her email address, it says that email address does not exist. If Santa can not verify Pat's existance and contact information, Pat will not be receiving a FT gift this year.

If anyone else knows how to reach Pat, please let Santa know.

Santa has sent confirmation emails out to all people who sent him an email to participate in Flyertalk's Secret Santa Gift Exchange.

Santa does employ some naughty elves (caught them viewing some Hilton video online... do not believe it had anything to do with a hotel stay!!!) and they may have deleted your message.
