Hmmmm. Juggling act here.

Stagedoor Suzie needs to be gone by 4pm and can't drink.

Joh can make it if a late lunch as she has builders at home until then.

1luv2fly has a lunch already - but would 2pm or so be OK?

ORDPLATAA is in town and hopefully can fit in - and has kindly offered to take back Freddie Junior to ORD.

corbetti emailed me that he is now in SYD, so maybe he too is OK for about 2pm?

ozstamps does not care where or when as long as booze is involved.

Orrrr - if Suzie is done with her north side excursion is DINNER in the city Monday better for all?

Saturday afternoon now, so lets hopefully get this set up!

Methinks my lunch is at 12:30, so I could be late to SYD Lunch Part Deux (I'm thinking not more than 1/2 hour). I am assuming I'll be in the CBD (will have to check with our office in SYD), so anything close to there would work out really well.

Obviously the later the better, but I'll leave it to ozzie to do the juggling act.

Corbetti says: count me in and I'll shout Ozstamps the first beer for giving me the heads up on this one.

I'm going to be moving that morning into my new digs, so I might be a few minutes late...

I can make lunch at 2pm. (I'll have more time if we eat in or near The Rocks area because I have to be at the bridge climb office by 4pm.)

Of course, I'll be ready for a beer or three after the climb, so dinner would be a great alternative, if that's still an option.

Dinner actually works better for me - just keep us posted on what we all settle upon...

of course, I could easily be convinced to do both

just at JFK t7 heading off to SF, will be back 23 sep but the folks will be around so would prefer to keep that day for them.

hey iluv2fly, let's do lunch on Wed 24 September at 12pm, at the Establishment on George Street Sydney, between Bridge St and Bond Street.

If anyone wants to come along just come along, i'll be waiting on the left hand side at the lounges when you walk in, and will be wearing glasses

iluv2fly knows who i am!

OK .... so you are doing a bridge CLIMB Suzie? I took it to read you need to cross (drive) the Bridge at 4pm.

Anyway, evening suits you, evening suits Marty and evening suits Corbetti, so evening it is.

Just hope ORDPLATAA and Dan read this.

Joh has something else on in evening, so she sadly can't join us on this one.

I'll dig out Ent. Book and find somewhere pretty central that will save us a few bucks, and post here in a few hours.

How long is Suzi, Bob, Dan here -- I'll loan you the book if you like as there are a ton of things in there that you'll use as visitors. A lot of those Captain Cook morning or afternoon Harbout cruises type things (excellent trip let me tell you) save you about $30 if used on a 2 for 1.

Marty is at Intercon, Bob at Westin, and Suzie around Rocks it seems(?) so will get something around The Rocks area as it seems central to all.

Does about 8pm sound OK?

Hey Gang-

Sorry for being "out of touch" the past few days....Dan and I made it into SYD safe & sound. Met up with Suzie on Friday and we were off to the Hunter Valley yesterday and, finally, spent today with Suzie at the zoo and the markets around the rocks.

We are up for dinner tomorrow (09/22). We are doing the Bridge Climb starting at 4:05 Monday so figure we will be done by 8:00pm. Suzie is doing the same climb so we are going to be rather casually dressed so we are up for a casual fun dinner afterwards (and God I will need a drink after that climb!!!). Oz, will leave it to you for a suggestion as to where to meet up. Leave a post here and we will check e-mail in the morning to see what is up and will meet you tomorrow!

Bob, Suzie, Dan & Rob

OK .. here is my suggestion.

THE best located hotel in Sydney is without doubt the Park Hyatt, which sits right on the Harbour as you can see here:

http://sydney.park.hyatt.com/sydph/p...dhya01p015.jpg
http://sydney.park.hyatt.com/sydph/p...dhya01p001.jpg
http://sydney.park.hyatt.com/sydph/p...dhya01p002.jpg

They have a bar and casual dining restaurant there called the HARBOUR BAR. (Note the correct spelling in the English language, and do not confuse if with the rather formal and stuffy Club Bar there!) Some info:

http://sydney.park.hyatt.com/sydph/dining_01.html

and photo of it here:

http://sydney.park.hyatt.com/sydph/p...dhya01p020.jpg

Food has a reasonable selection - steak, chicken breast, and lighter fare down to burgers even.

It is not terribly expensive - $A25 or so for Sirloin steak etc.

We can eat and drink there right on the Harbour looking at The Opera House at night etc. So do bring your Cameras if you think of it and want some tourist shots of Freddie Junior basking in the glow of the Opera House.

The Park Hyatt is at 7 Hickson Road, The Rocks.

Everyone knows where it is if you ask, but if you get to Circular Quay where all ferries (and trains) leave from, (and close to Marty's hotel) just walk along the foreshore boardwalk toward it .. it sits ON the Harbour a few 100 yards away.

Or for Bob and Dan simply walk down George where your hotel is, to the Rocks, and where George and Hickson meet, keep right on Hickson! (Do watch for the signs tho, as it is George that veers left really, and Hickson goes right ahead.) It is 5-10 mins walk from Westin. On main road, and 105% safe to walk.

If 8 p.m. suits everyone I made a reservation for then.

Tall Aussie redheaded guy called Mike was very helpful and says he will try and get us a window view table. Monday is not busy, so we picked a good evening.

We can have a drink at bar from 7.45pm onwards say.

I have a couple of 25% off entire bill coupons, so we will save $50 at least there.

iluv2fly and Corbetti have met me before here so a few of us will hook up fine. For the others a few pix of me are on here so at least you'll recognise one of those to look out for!

p.s. - I'll be the one with a beer in hand.
