All the while he had a confederate purposefully bait and engage arturo in a FlyerTalk conversation during the same time period.

Only after this "investigation" did Rudi, somewhat disappointedly, reveal to me that I had been eliminated from the "suspects" list and I was cleared of all charges.

God knows how many others were the victims of this cruel (Mai Tais, Cuban cigars, fine food, beautiful bikini clad women) and unusual investigation.

I have a personal theory that arturo is in fact somehow related to Iain M. Banks if not in fact one of his creations having sprung to life.

As evidence let me submit the following short excerpt from Feersum Endjiin.

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">
Below is a paragraph excerpted from one of Bascule's sections early in Feersum Endjinn. Bascule is describing the scenery from outside a friend's home. The passage is both representative of how Banks uses Bascule's observations and how the phonetic writing works.

Nway, iss a pretti impressive view, & sumtimes yule c eegils & rocs & simurgs & lammergeiers & uther big funny-lookin burds wheelin about juss to add a bit ov culur, + further blo thers moar wals & towrs & alures & steep roofs - some ov them terrissed 2 - & blo that thi forists & hilz ov thi bailey, then thi curtin wall in thi distince, & furthir away stil thers thi haizi seenery of thi far beyawnd. (They reckin u can c the c from thi veri hiest hites of thi habitabil castle, but tho I seen this screend I nevir seen it wif ma own Is.)

I feel that I've been given a personal quest. Time to step away and work on a slight draw to my seven iron on tight approach shots. (I'll never mention that I play golf from the wrong side of the ball.)

There is something else at play here. I think I need to go back and re-read a few novels. Arturo is hiding somewhere in something that he/she and I have read (or written).

I'll be back. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

arturo you are really playing golf? Actively or only from time to time? Or may that be mini-golf...? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I must say that doesn't fit into my picture of the person I suspect you am... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Or do you lead us in a wrong direction? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Hey I even begin to think in this slang language of yours... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif I wonder when I will start to dream of you... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

I'm not convinced that's golf he's talking about there. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

So arturo even knows some german. Of course Wienerschnitzel is one of the most important words. I would invite you to a original one that is best in Bavaria IMO. Any plans to come to MUC?

As I speak of community Do's... arturo, dou you plan to attend the next Catman Do or the October 'PIP'? I would really travel across the big pond(s) just to meet you! Really! I promise! And I would bring one of those great Schnitzels from my hometown... Isn't that tempting? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Ich bin da. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I've just been out in the real world for a bit and stuck outside of internet reach. We all travel occasionally after all. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

arturo, the simple answer to your problem with wedge shots is to make sure you never miss with your approach shot.

Do you prefer a pitch and run shot or drop your ball and pull it back to the cup?

arturo Jan 24, 2003 2:08 pm

arturo unerstand abutt wedgies.

In what kind of lie's do you normally find yourself? Sandy, tight, fluffy?

Do you travel with your own clubs?

chichow Jan 24, 2003 6:11 pm

The sad thing is that I thought when arturo said _michswiss_ without looking closely I momentarily thought he meant Phil Mickelson and not another FT'er.

OT: if I wanna be like arturo n den rite phuny 1/2 di time...where can i learn? i am sure there are different ways to write out a creole style vs scottish etc...
