I'm really surprised that it seems to be a much more hidden mystery, who is behind arturo. I would have thought that there are many old-timers here, which know something about him and give us some entertaining hints here. But actually there seem to be very few with real knowledge...

I think I will use my lunch-time today to re-read some old OMNI threads and bring in some speculations about arturos real identity(s ?) here. Be back soon...

Though I don't know who arturo actually is, I have pretty strong suspicions about who it might be. Nevertheless, I choose to keep the suspicions to myself -- not only because I'll look a fool if I get it wrong, but also because I quite like the mystery!

I noticed you added a copyright mark to your tag line, Arturo. Smart move, in light of yesterday's U.S. Supreme Court ruling on intellectual property. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

So, so! 2 hours for lunchtime - instead of having a short walk or a pizza I did surf some forums here... And some pictures galleries.. And it's so fascinating... Thanks, arturo. But my employer wouldn't be happy about this hobby... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

I must say I have two very strong suspects on my list and one that is just a minor suspect.

No, I don't reveal those names here. But arturo, be aware that I have an eye on you from now on... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Have fun!

magic111...

Award for most effort to prove who arturo was not, goes to...Rudi (who is offline until the end of the month, BTW)!

As part of his sinister plan, having flown all the way to Hawaii in August of 1999 to meet with Rudi in person for the first time...Rudi, who thought arturo was me, wanted to "test" his theory so for an entire day (unbeknown-st to me), he never for a single moment let me out of his sight. I couldn't even shake the guy to go to the Loo! I was beginning to "wonder" about this guy!

All the while he had a confederate purposefully bait and engage arturo in a FlyerTalk conversation during the same time period.

Only after this "investigation" did Rudi, somewhat disappointedly, reveal to me that I had been eliminated from the "suspects" list and I was cleared of all charges.

God knows how many others were the victims of this cruel (Mai Tais, Cuban cigars, fine food, beautiful bikini clad women) and unusual investigation.

arturo is brilliant, whomever he/she may be.

During the SFH, another FTer took on a second handle, dubbing him or herself 1kmanpissed -- and posted the UA 1K phone number for everyone to call UA and complain.

Arturo wrote:

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">hmmmmm...... arturo cawl thes nummer an git fone sex.</font>
And then violist replied:

LOL! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Thanks Premex for your statements. But can I believe you fully...? I have a shaddow of doubt... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

You can only make me believe with some substantial hints from your side, who arturo might be actually. As you know that for sure... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

My only clue to arturo's identity is that he has a mailing address in a border state, confidentiality precludes my revealing what arturo's state borders on.

Please remember that corollary #727 to the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle states that any attempt to discover Arturo's identity changes his identity.
