Small chance I will be able to make it, depending on when I wrap up my business in Austin.

(Goat, you might also look at the Halstead thread... it seems like a few other CHI FTers were also trying to plan a dinner on the 8th....)

Didja stop to think it might be the sushi?

I don't think that anyone was 100% on us doing sushi... I know at least one other attendee who would do a happy dance if we went somewhere else....

I could care less where we go eat. This was BYOB, so I figured, hey, more trouble for less cash...

Cafe Sushi is...ehhh...ok.

ez cheaper than kamehachi which is right there.

I like shiro hana for quality price ratio, but busy and small and noisy.

akai hana maybe not good enough?

mirai is fancy.

new place in metromix "sushi x" u may want to consider.

regards

Agreed, Shiroi Hana is way too small.

Akai Hana would be excellent. Good service, good food, plenty of parking. You're referring to the Wilmette location, right?

IF not sushi, how about Tapas?

Bottom line is I don't care where we go, as long as we find a place to hang out and knock back drinks.

mmm... tapas gets my vote.

Easier to share (sushi is too much of a "personal preference" thing) and we can get bombed on sangria.

Tapas is an excellent idea.

Can anyone say Cafe Iberico?

We could always do Emilio's in my neighborhood. Plus, we could do the Goat's neighbourhood bar tour.

Darn all this good dining and I won't be back in town until the 15th. At least I am getting err consuming mass quantities of sushi while in HKG

Ok, I am a probable. I am on the direct LAX-LHR next Friday, but I am sure I can play around with that.

Will know for sure early next week.
