Welcome back from standby, Doc!

I would like to welcome one of our MOST valued contributors back to his regular posting level. Please, welcome Doc!!!

Since similar thread was closed in OMNI forum, then I see NO reason why it should not belong to FT Community Forum as there is such a wide spread support and love for Doc. And since he is an integral part of our community then this seems to be the appropriate forum for this post.

Below is a copy of all posts relating to the same thread in OMNI forum:

Well, it should be soon, since we aren't supposed to start threads about specific FTers...

Doc, welcome back from standby mode!
These boards are a lot more interesting after you are starting to get back to your normal posting speed. At least I don't have to watch CNN and BBC and can skip the papers.

If we can't have "I Miss Doc threads" we can't have "Welcome Back" threads either.
Besides, I don't think he ever left.

I am - unless someone else's post gets in as I type, in which case the time stamp should be within two minutes of this post's.

Welcome back!!!

Well, I welcomed him back in one of his news posts, but I'm happy to more publicly say, Welcome back, Mark--I missed your long-time contribution to this board.

Nice to see doc has found time to get back posting here. FT has not been the same over the last few months. No-one else seems to be faster than doc on news related stories covering ALL airlines and hotels etc.

The reason it was closed, and the reason this one should be closed is VERY simple.

If both views of an issue are not welcome, then the tread should be closed.

PERIOD.

I agree that this thread might not suit 100% into 'community'. But there are a lot of comparable threads here and I don't see much difference to posts like 'happy birthday xyz'. So I won't be the one closing this thread here...

Everyone is entitled to their opinion CameraGuy.

However, the post above yours is from a Forum Moderator who is also glad to see doc back.

Not sure why other thread with welcomes and greetings should be closed & moved if that is the case.

The double standard IMHO perpetuates the clique syndrome.....
