FT SFO Area picnic?
remembering MJMs idea of a while back for a picnic type thing this summer - is there any interest?? I woudl be looking at mid to late June, or else end of July at one of our regional parks that you can book in advance....
it'd be a BYO everything but I would need some help to coordinate things like bringing charcoal, paper plates etc.
PLEASE PLEASE....don't just post "I can't come the 3rd week of June" - I don't have any set dates and it will be at the mercy of what parks I can book w/out too much hassle for a large group...
If there was enough interest from out of towners it could even be a DO....
thanks all.

squeakr - That would be great. I'd be delighted to attend. There's a great little picnic area with barbequeues, tables, a small beach, grassy area, and awesome views of the City skyline and Golden Gate bridge, just off of Crissy Field in the Presidio. I'd like to nominate it as a potential location, and volunteer to bring wine!

squeakr,
That sounds like a whole lot of fun. If you would like assistance coordinating any of the attendee info/postings/potluck contributions/directions etc., drop me a note and perhaps I can lend a few hours to the effort from over here.
Please take and post lots of pictures.

Had you been at lunch yesterday in SF, Dan, you would not ask about 50 somethings. We ruled!
What are the chances of moving it south, say to one of Palo Alto's secret parks? Didn't we just have a PA resident wanting to set something up? He/she could get us in.
Note to yesterday's SF lunch attendees: Pity you all did not join me in the Ladies' after lunch (the second time we left!!). Two waitresses were washing their clothes in the sinks! Very strange.

Interested and would like to attend. Will monitor thread(s) to see if a date is picked. Have been known to enjoy standing in front of a sawed off 55 gal drum and flipping meat over.

i am thinking of parks on the peninsula or possibly east bay as there is more accessibility and easier to rent for groups for minimal fee. I'll keep you all posted...suggestions for location welcome!

East Bay parks? He, he...well as I grew up across the street from Tilden Park I have to toss that into the ring. Lake Anza and Lake Temescal both come to mind as well. I like the area near the Little Farm/ Merry-Go-Round in Tilden and the walk around/through/over Jewel Lake also.

Do it at Junipero Serra. It's got a view of SFO. The Upper & Lower Meadow areas have views of SFO.
