I've used a 25K mile domestic award, when I could have bought the ticket for $230.
_______________ I'm so ashamed.... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif [This message has been edited by Craig6z (edited 09-25-2000).] |
I've never been to Mexico by air.
My only trip was by foot, one afternoon, to Tijuana, where I went to a race book and got cheated (IMO) out of about $400. If I had never read Hamlet I would never have known about not being a borrower nor a lender, nor about consummations devoutly to be wished, nor about parting being such sweet sorrow. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif |
Under advise of counsel I cannot disclose the event or detail of the alleged MHC mebership without the consent of the other party. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Magic111...I'd say you weren't missing much with the Sam Adams, but you've got to get yourself a Krispy Kreme hot out of the glaze, STAT! They're too die 4!
|
Here's a few:
Never purchased a ticket online - ever. Never succeeded in getting a truly good airfare deal for myself when paying with money - I almost always overpay. Never paid the movie or headset fee Never got a free upgrade just for asking. |
Never bought a personal ticket through a travel agent.
Never resisted the urge to post on any topic discussing the utter and imminent destruction of Flyertalk Community and the subsequent end of the world. Never made an idle threat to an airline or its representative -- I always follow through. Never been rebooked by a gate agent after a flight cancellation/delay -- always over the phone. |
I've stayed at a Super 8 --- and liked it! (I was literally the first customer to stay in the place in Sulfur, LA - it was great!)
------------------ "I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own." |
I've never tipped a cabbie, bellman, parking lot shuttle driver, airport restaurant waiter, skycap, or valet attendant while traveling and using such facilities.
Yes I do get many dirty looks. BTW, what's a Hamlet? Is it new from McDonalds? [This message has been edited by Indurain (edited 09-26-2000).] |

I've been to LGW and LHR but never to London or any of the British Isles.
I've been to EuroDisney and Disneyland, but have never been to Disney World. |
"What's the difference between an honorary and a regular member of the Mile High Club;"
FWIW, Sometimes people attribute differences to things that actually exist only in their own minds! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif But hey, what do I know, I'm NOT even in the Club! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif |
I've never used the first class bathroom when not flying first class.
|
I used the $4-a-minute phone in my seatback - just to say I did...

Well, I have never:
Had a Samuel Adams, Called a F/A honey or babe, Shaken the ice in my glass to get a refill, Asked to switch seats, Been able to get my employer to agree to a trip when there were tons of extra bonuses available, Met Catman or Essxjay, Flown Midwest Express or Midway or Southwest, Done a mileage run (yet). Since I have spent the better part of the last two years in Denver, joined on occaison by my partner, I have completed the non-flyers' version of the MHC in the Mile High City. Sadly no airmiles. |
On the advice of counsel I invoke my fifth amendment right by refusing to answer on the grounds it may incriminate me.
|

(How idiotic am I!?) -KP (A rare stop back on da boards.) |
Well, I've never been to Heaven But I've been to Oklahoma They tell me I was born there But I really don't remember. Plus, I've never flown in a 747, 777, 717, DC-10, or MD-11. |
LOL people! Maybe I'm easily amused but this is a hysterical thread. I'm archiving it straightaway. (And you all are now on notice: delete incriminating posts now in case you plan to run for public office someday ... ) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

I’ve never had to use an exit in an emergency!
Going-off topic for a second, I do keep my shoes on till the seatbelt light goes out (just in case). I wonder if others out there have any superstitious rituals…or is it just me? Robert. |
bulkhead, I think flying superstitions is a whole 'nuther, and potentially OMNI-winning, thread. Care to kick it off? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
|
But if you're going down the chute, aren't you going to be removing your shoes anyway. I say, "Be Prepared."
|
I've been through ATL, but never to Atlanta. I've been through MSP, but never to Minneapolis or St. Paul. I've been through SLC, but have visited the Tabernacle!
|
Essxjay: Thanks for the idea. I've created a thread called "Superstitious rituals" in FlyerTalk Community. Now if I just knew how to post a link...
TravelWeary: I never said it was logical. Oh, and I never wear high heels - a least not on business trips http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif Robert. [This message has been edited by bulkhead (edited 09-29-2000).] |
Here you go. Superstition thread at:

I've never met a FT'er. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
|
I've never been to a flyer-do (yet!)..
I've never won a challenge - failed the AA challenge by 500 miles because I can't count.. I've never done a mileage run (although I'm going to need to if I make Chairman's Preferred this year). |
I've redeemed an AA RT ticket award and realized that I haven't used it 13 months after it was issued.
Great thread Jailer! |
Every contest needs a winner, and barring a late entry:
The winner is the hysterically funny (I remember some of his stories from PIP) MRLIMO. MRLIMO, who probably has more miles than most third world countries have debt, wins by a nose. Admitting that he only flies to collect, but never uses miles is characteristically MRLIMO humor. MRLIMO, admitting that you have a problem is the first step to a cure. Mile high club? 27 year old virgin here! Do we have a winner?
Just kidding... *Took an additional 3-hour layover just so I could upgrade on the later flight--flight time was 1 1/2 hours. *Companion upgraded a cutie I was chatting it up with in the boarding area. *Actually enjoy the Frappucino on UA. |

C'mon, this is supposed to be about humiliation NOT pridefulness! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif Mile high club? 27 year old virgin here! Do we have a winner? Well, call me sad but here they come:
[This message has been edited by ScottC (edited 05-12-2002).] |
I once flew to 6 cities in the US to save $150 on a flight path from San Jose to Chicago & Boston and back.
In order to get there cheap I also went to Newark, Nashville, Dallas, and Minneapolis. I should have made a tour tee shirt with all the stops listed. NEVER AGAIN.... |
I have never owned or worn blue jeans.
------------------ "If you want to win the game, write the rules." |
I've never made a webpage with Hot Dog Express (PremEx?) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
|
Hey! I have limited time. I love that Hot Dog! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
Although not qualifing under the rules of "something you have not done that everyone else has"...I do have a humiliating one to 'fess up to. Several years ago I went to Singapore mainly because I had never been there before. When I checked into the Raffles Hotel they welcomed me "back!" I asked, "What are you talking about?" And they informed me that this was my third stay with them! Huh? They had my correct name and passport number. When I got home I did some research and found out I had indeed been there twice before! I even found pictures of me at The Long Bar! My only explanation is that I flew sooooo much on business and often did several countries in one day in Asia, that I must have just been in Singapore for one-night layovers, and never gave it any thought because I was so busy with other matters. You know...plane lands, limo to the hotel, next morning limo back to the airport...hello, I must be going? I'm sure glad I at least remembered to pay my hotel bill! OK jailer, I'm stroking your ego here buddy.
I've never had drinks with flight attendants (from my flight) at a hotel. And the last time, it was the cute ones birthday! (and I flew with her once B4, but my wife was with me.) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/eek.gif Dan |
