Bangkok- Late May???

Since CO cancelled my EWR-HKG flight, but was able to confirm me in BF to BKK, I'm off to Exotic Bangkok from May 23-27th. Anyone else plan to be around that part of the world(assuming flights are still going)?

PS-- my thoughts are to spread my 3 night stays between Starwood (2) + Hyatt (1), any thoughts, yeas, neys etc??? As top in both I assume I'll be upgraded to club with all 3.

you are skipping chilli crabs?

Hopefully by then, SAR is under control. I hear that all visitors need to wear mask, or face a fine. Anyway, if I'm in SIN during that time, I'll take a quick shuttle up over that weekend.

I cancelled my trip which was supposed to start today. So I may reschedule for late May. We'll see.

I've stayed at the Starwoods and the Grand Hyatt in BKK and have always been upgraded to a nice suite. I'm sure with light business due to SARS going on that you will be very well taken care of.

This will be my first time in BKK, so it would be great to have a few FT'ers who know the city around

For those planning to be in BKK this weekend, I've sent you e mails with details of my hotels. It would be great if we could all get together for a dinner one of those nights!! Just let me know.

Let me suggest a good restaurant in Bangkok, about a half block walk from a SkyTrain station.

Lemongrass
5/1 Sukhumvit Soi 24
Phrom Pong BTS station

I've eaten there twice in the past year. Be sure to try the cashew and dried pork salad - yummy.

And mauld, you MUST have Thai massage and reflexology while you are there. There are countless places where you can have this done. Leave your hotel, as you'll pay only about 500 baht for 2 hours - just $12, and oh, such a treat.

Mauld, have fun in Bangkok, I just love it there. I will be in Bangkok the night of June 6th through the 12th. If anyone is going to be around, email me and let me know.
