Sunday sounds pretty clear to me so far. Friday is Anzac Day - a national holiday, so that is a long weekend and not sure if Joh has something organised out of town, but should be fine.

I should be available Sunday late afternoon/ evening. We could organize a small FT get-together.

Well, how about You, Glen, (maybe Joh) and myself get together somewhere Sunday evening starting from 6pm onwards? How does that sound?

What do you like in a place? Food? Wine? Beer? Relaxed atmosphere? ...

That plan works for me - in terms of preferences -

Food - light, I will not want a big dinner
Beer/Wine - YES

Oh my! You just opened up a gazillion possibilities!

How about you choose from some of the following?

www.summitrestaurant.com.au

www.starcity.com.au/dir013/internetpublishing.nsf/content/intro

www.anahotel.com.au/restbars.php

OR you might want to prefer younger crowd at

www.icebergs.com.au

www.hotelbondi.com.au/home.html

So, which one do you like? Maybe you have your own ideas from previous visits?

OK ... will run this past Joh today to see how she is placed Sunday. I have your new Enertainment Book here Spider, so to save mail costs can drop that off then. Those '25% off' UA coupons in there look LUVVERRLLY.

Also I suggest we might use one or 2 of those dining coupons, as there are a million nice places in town that are part of that deal. Nearly all of them are good for a free main course, so for 4 diners it makes very good sense. I can't picture B Watson at the Hotel Bondi somehow.

I am totally flexible, however I always enjoy good sushi and I am sure this will get killed off when Shangri-La takes over the ANA - plus, it would be interesting to see how much sake Glen can drink

I wonder, why? Impaired imagination?

BTW, thanks for the Entertainment Book. I registered my card today, so it should be OK for the weekend.

They won't throw anyone out as long as they don't carry a firearm or a cold weapon and even that's enforced only on Friday and Saturday nights.

Sounds like I better not drive to this DO!

Well fancy that. His Ent. book (that Spider has yet to see!) has a 25% off coupon - max $35 for the Teppanyaki Restaurant at the ANA. Coupon does say it is not open Sunday though - not sure if that is correct?

The Unkai in the ANA also is 25% off (max $40) and does seem to be open Sunday evenings. This little black duck will be drinking Asahi and not sake whichever we choose.

Joh and I took Rudi up for drinks to the top floor panoramic bar of the ANA, and it really has one of the best views in Sydney up there, as it is built on a hill anyway. A 'must-do' if you have not been up there.

OK ..... Joh and I are both set for Sunday early evening, around 6pm. Assuming B Watson is staying at the Observatory Hotel down in the Rocks, I propose we meet there in the library bar at 6pm, and have a round of beers in those amazing tall glasses, charge it all to his room and head off from here for something to eat?

Anyone else around at that time Sunday apart from B Watson and Spider?
