Easter Greetings ........

It is well into Good Friday here as I watch AFL football, so the Easter long weekend has offically started here at least.

Best wishes and a safe holiday break for all those FlyerTalkers who will also be celebrating Easter over the next few days.

Out on interest, how many countries grant two public holidays either side of this weekend?

Here Good Friday and Easter Monday are always national public holidays. As Anzac Day (also a national public holiday) is April 25, many folks are taking 3 days leave and getting an 11 day break.

Happy Easter Ozstamps. When the puritans left England for America, they became *&%#$ workaholics, so over here it's a normal weekend other than the day itself - none of this Friday & Monday off like UK & Oz (sigh).

Happy Easter (and Happy Passover too). Good Friday is a holiday observed by the markets so most of us in the financial industry have Friday off. Woohoo and I'm getting out of L.A. for 3 days!

Slightly different for us:

one says, "Christ is Risen!"

another answers, "He is Risen, indeed."

But then, this will happen a week from this Sunday, since this coming Sunday is Palm Sunday for us.

Sincerely,

Guaranteed that this world would be a better place if people remembered the reason for the season . . . Happiest of Easter to all.
