Well put, my six hours in SIN on Saturday night/Sunday morning was much fun.

I still chuckle at the recollection of sitting in my seat awaiting take-off when the FAs called out in unison from behind,

After we (the 4 SINners seated near each other) were introduced to our FA crew by our famous travelling companion, we all proceeded to get what can only be described as amazing service.

Sorry we didn't make it!!! Both of us came down with a nasty cold the day before the get together... we did a little shopping on Orchard Rd., grabbed a bite at the Takashimaya basement, and went to bed early.

We both felt a little better the next morning, although it was raining. Went to the zoo at 8:30AM for breakfast with the Orangutans, lunch at Scott's Picnic, saw a movie, (rain stopped during movie) and had dinner at the new Jumbo Seafood at Clarke Quay. (Chilli Crab!!!)

Really sorry we missed everybody.

Wish I were still there,,,but the flight home was not nearly as much fun as the time in SIN with everyone!!
Many thanks to Mauld for her "inspiration", mjm for his "effort" throughout, and to everyone else for their kindness!
Looking forward to seeing "some" of you in mid March perhaps??

Just adding my heartfelt sentiments.... what a great time had by all! Sitting here in NYC in 12 degree weather remembering Sat night at Jumbos Seafood on the beach with the breeze blowing in from the sea, eating chili crabs, drinking pitcher after pitcher of tiger beer with everyone http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif....Gee, wonder if I can catch the next flight back http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

I also would like to say it was nice meeting everyone in SIN and for the very nice dinner party hosted my Mauld and for the great web site put up by MJM. I went back to Jumbo on Monday for lunch and had an overdose of the black pepper crab,oh so wonderful.
Thank you Bseller for showing me the wonderful new RCC in NRT.Oh those shower rooms are very nice.

I did a google search for "Singapore Black Pepper Crab recipe" and got a few hits. Here is one from Sunset magazine.
