Make that two rooms at the W at the $109 rate.
I've had a pressing engagement elsewhere come that same weekend, so my room is also up for grabs.

You have no Idea how much I would love to do this if it was only one weekend later or earlier.

Well, next time (Darn... I want to go to New Orleans)

Mashav and Kluau88: I have an interest in a room if it still available. Is there another female who would like to share a room at the W?

You can bump me from a maybe to a probable. Grabbed some flight reservations and a hotel res, so I'm more or less good to go. Looking forward to it! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

My flights are now confirmed, so I guess that means I am too. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Please take me off of the Delmonico dinner list - I think I'll just try for a liquid diet that weekend http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Glad to see more people are confirming for the weekend. It is looking bad for the private dining room reservation at Delmonico. If you still haven't paid but are still interested in the dinner please let me know so I can get an accurate head count.

See you all in just a few short weeks!

techgirl Jan 7, 2003 5:46 pm

Will you still be financially committed if we do not get the private dining room?

I really don't want to do Delmonicos unless we are doing that.

kluau88 Jan 7, 2003 5:59 pm

My room at the W Poydras New Orleans is spoken for. I hope all the attendees have a wonderful time!

I can refund your money if we don't do the private dining room. I hope it doesn't come to that. This is going to be a great experience and is definitly worth the $150 price tag for those still thinking about it. If there isn't enough interest in eating the chef's tasting menu in the main dining room we can opt for a different more reasonably priced restaurant if their isn't enough interest. I have to confirm by January 15 or we are out the private dining room, hence the payment deadline.

OK, I made my flight reservations, so move me from "maybe" to "confirmed." http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

I don’t think we are going to have a good turnout for a dinner at Delmonico and I would like to have a nice group outing for Saturday night. I am looking into other options for Saturday night. I would need to know ASAP who would be interested in a dinner with possibly an open bar on Saturday night. The cost would be approximately $35 - $50 a person at a Pascal’s Manale.

Founded in 1913, this family-run, Italian-Creole restaurant is located in uptown New Orleans. It is famous for creating barbecued shrimp .

This neighborhood restaurant is vintage New Orleans, from the service to the decor. The oyster bar always manned by a friendly shucker. The oysters are fresh, salty and delicious.

The old time oyster bar and cocktail bar offers raw oysters on the half shell and all types of cocktails. We offer fine seafood, Italian specialties and delicious steaks.
Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in as an alternative. I am just exploring options at this point and am trying to gauge interest. This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. It is very casual and had delicious food.

Rachel,

First, I would just like to thank you for all you are doing to organize this. Pascal's sounds wonderful! If Delmonico's doesn't work out, you can definitely count us in for this.

techgirl Jan 9, 2003 4:54 am

I think that Paschal's also sounds great and I would happily forgo Delmonicos for something that would get more of us together!

I just bought tix. As I always tell the immigration folk at LHR, 'I'm here for the beer.' so an open bar appeals to me. "See" you there.

Also: I'd love to take over a cheap W Poydras reservation if anyone still has one they wont use...
