Keeneland in Lexington, KY
Live thoroughbred races at Keeneland start this Friday October 4th with last day being Saturday October 26th. No races held on Monday or Tuesday.
Post time for first race is 1:10pm

I'm going on Saturday Oct 26 if any other FT'ers are interested in meeting and betting on the ponies for the day.

Funny you should mention Keeneland. I own racehorses and have some racing mid month. Where is a good place to stay in Lexington? I prefer Hilton properties, if possible. Any ideas?

As it so happens, Opening Day for the Fall Meet at Churchill Downs is Oct. 27th. and some folks are visiting SDF on one of those nice $120 LAX-SDF mileage runs. I'd be happy to shoot over to LEX the day before and make it a weekend of playing the ponies!

Would anyone else like to do Oct. 26 at Keeneland in LEX and Oct. 27th in SDF?
I have stayed at the Hilton Suites in LEX and they are quite nice!![](http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif)

I thought about visiting some friends in Louisville this weekend and going down to Keeneland for Breeders Cup day, but wont make it because of work.
Plan to put a nice sum on Hold that Tiger (A O'Brian) in the colts race. Was in Europe
2 weeks ago when he won a Group 1 at Longchamp coming from dead last with about 100 metres to go(1 fur) got blocked and still won in 1.20.00 (7 Fur) 2/5 off the track record. I know he won on turf, but Arlington seem to always favour closers both turf and dirt.

Where shall we meet up? I don't know Keeneland/Lexington as well as I know Churchill Downs/Louisville.
Are you all coming to Churchill Downs on Sunday?

Spiff, I won't be going to Churchill on Sunday, just to much to do for my biz. It is tough just taking the two days here.
The buddy of mine may not be able to make it, due to a variety of family issues. As a result, I would have a ticket for you, (we are supposedly located near the finish line).
But please do not count on this yet, I should know tomorrow (Thurs) by noon.
I don't know Lexington well either, but weren't you the one who made a suggestion in the Hilton forum for a property in the Lexinton area, perhaps we meet there as we will be driving in from Cincinnati in the am.

Meeting up at the Hilton Suites in Lexington sounds good. What time works best? We probably have similar commute times from CVG/SDF.
