The FIRST FLYERTALK event ever was held in BOSTON in March, 1999.
The guest List:
Catman
PremEx
Baobab and the Gardener (the hosts)
NJ David and Helen
Anna S
Kyklin
MileCrazy
Matt Wald (before he became Kokonutz/A Freak/Whatever name he is this week
I think there are a few pictures posted somewhere.
It was my first of many FT events. It was a wonderful weekend at a great restaurant, Sunday brunch at this nice downtown hotel, a visit to a "Cat" retrospective at the Museum of Science and making new friends!
Those were the days when Flyertalk was just a small bulletin board and nothing reached DO proportions (until the PIP 1 in Hawaii, NOvember, 1999!)
OMNI for the Boston gang: I'd love to have a reunion in Boston sometime of the ORIGINAL First FT "do" guests. (plus Kyklin's and PremEx's loves

on the 29th and would be up for lunch or
supper. I'm changing my profile to include
my e-mail; the return to anonymity didn't
work anyhow.

Since it looks as though the majority like the weekend of 11/1-11/3, should we make further plans for those dates? i.e. a meet and greet Friday night (if people arrive then), a dinner on Sat. night and a brunch on Sun,....or dinner/drinks Sat., brunch on Sun.,.....or just dinner/drinks Sat. ????
Places to be decided of course.
Any thoughts?

Of course the Cheese Cake Factory is always a good choice as well

any place being considered for a weekend dinner should be checked to make sure they take group reservations.
out of curiosity is anyone interested in some unusual group activity, like perhaps a visit to http://www.f1boston.com ?

I will probably go to an early Nov event. I'll also offer my web site as a place to post details.
BTW, I'll also vote for Royal East. If it will be a large group, they should be notified ahead of time. It's real popular, especially with folks at MIT.
