Boston meeting or event?

I notice many FT regulars list the Boston area as home base. Has there been an FT meeting in the Boston area? If not, would folks be interested in some type of event (happy hour, dinner, something else)?

Of course, anyone visiting the area on that day would also be welcome.

I'd be interested in a Boston event/get together. I live a couple of hours north of Boston but would be willing to help in any way that I can.

I'm up in Weymouth pretty regularly & I'd be interested.

I'm in Boston November 2-6, should that be a convenient date for you locals....as if I need another excuse to drink.

I'm in Boston often enough I'd more likely than not can make it, suggest ideas and so on (of course the locals should be able to do a better job http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

There was a small one, about a year ago if memory serves, initiated when FewMiles was here for a professional conference and posted here to ask if anyone felt like getting together. About eight of us met for a pleasant evening of drinks (mostly margaritas) and dinner in Back Bay near his conference.

Barring surprises between now and then, early November works for me!

Early Nov seems a fine time.

Can't confirm immediately, but looks good for me to schedule a trip up to Boston in early Nov!

Given Jailer's schedule what about Monday, November 4 or Tuesday, November 5 (Election Day; vote early, vote often)? Someplace in Towne (North End, Downtown, Copley, Kenmore) or Cambridge?

Not knocking the above dates at all, but a weekend would be best for me, gotta work during the week! (Or considering what most of you guys do to get together I suppose I could just drive down on a weekday night, party all night and drive back early the next morning in time for work!! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif )
