SeaDoo 4 August 16-18??

Yes I know its ridiculously early..but those Nasty Yankees are playing my Beloved Mariners that weekend, and I thought it would incorporate well into a Doo. Any opinions?

Fly Boy Jan 7, 2002 7:42 pm

(-in Mr Burns voice) *excellent*...

TravelWeary Jan 7, 2002 8:44 pm

Missy: There's only one question to ask here...Where are we all sitting at Safeco? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

missydarlin Jan 7, 2002 8:55 pm

I personally am a fan of those $11 left field bleacher seats, but I'll see what kind of group rate offerings they have for premium seating.

Missy,

Can you stand it a second time? No, I don't mean planning a DO. I mean paying off on a Yankee/Seattle bet when your team loses to us for the '3rd year' in a row. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/tongue.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

I just may consider coming to town to collect personally this time.

Dannypoo... you take good care of my cheesecake on the flight...and I'll enjoy every single bite of it that you'll be feeding me http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Just a warm up for my Diamondbacks http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Jan, I'm so disappointed, I thought you would be a Dodger fan as almost all MB folk are!

Well actually as a native New Yorker I've been a Yankee fan since I was old enought to know the word baseball http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

But you know, three years in AZ will do you in http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif - Especially when they are world champs!!!!

Punki Jan 8, 2002 8:09 am

This sounds like a great idea--Seattle is gorgeous in August and a wonderful break from the rest of the country which tends to be hot and muggy at that time of year.

We will be happy to host something, maybe a party on the boat or on our deck or maybe both, but I can't make a commitment until I find out when my reunions are--this is the big 40 for me and I am not going to miss going to see all of those "old" people who used to be the same age as I. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

If we have a party, svpii, your presence is mandatory.

Marked on my calendar nice and early.

Of course, I did that last time and then that darned wedding came up.

But barring weddings and other things that *I* have no control over, I will be there this time for sure....

missydarlin Jan 8, 2002 3:28 pm

Well then..it looks like I'm inking that date on my calendar. I figure on getting seats for all 3 games of the series (Fri, Sat, Sun) for us die hard baseball fans, with a larger number of seats for Saturdays game.

I'll work on planning the rest of the weekend at the beginning of the summer, but it will surely include a re-visit to RedHook, and perhaps a lightly catered mix and mingle at the Museum of Flight

Suggestions are appreciated and encouraged! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

~Missy

Clue dear I've got your altoids right here.. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Color Me Probable!

newself Jan 8, 2002 6:38 pm

Did I hear RedHook? I haven't missed a SEA DO yet so count me in!

markbach Jan 8, 2002 10:59 pm

Count me in as a probable.

I wonder if p(w)ussy boy will come this time. I'll be eager to hear about his trip to Rome.

Catman Jan 8, 2002 11:36 pm

I am NOT a Yankees fan (ducking) and prefer the mets but any excuse to go to a game sounds fun.

Would Love to go to the museum of flight.

And if my bodyguard Newself if going to Red Hook I'd lik eto come too.

So call me a possible.

Dogstar Jan 9, 2002 12:08 am

Lots of M's & Yankee fans up here in YVR that make the trip to SEA regularly to get our fix of baseball. When thingsthe itin is firmed up I'll cross-link over in the AC Forum.

Count me in as an interested "possible"...

Newself You need to boost up your AS mileage balance so that I can raid it when you try and back out again http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

I can't miss this, and it falls right in the middle of my vacation (and then off to Japan on the 21st). Count me in. As a native New Yorker, I may have to root for the Yankees, though.

kokonutz Jan 9, 2002 9:07 am

Any excuse to visit SEA!

Perhaps I can turn that pesky DEN conflict on the 18th and 19th into an opportunity.

This time we'll have to stay for that third Red Hook tour (mmmmmm...dry roasted barley)...

Let's see...Utah, 34 and, uh, man, I KNOW the answers....darn dead brain cells...

drtravels Jan 10, 2002 7:50 am

Count me in Missy. I'd love to see the M's beat the Yanks.

Spiff Jan 10, 2002 12:21 pm

Mmmm... Beefeater... Wouldn't you rather fly DL or AA?

Oh, wait, I forgot...I'm NEVER DRINKING AGAIN....

TrojanHorse Jan 10, 2002 2:18 pm

Now if you have one of these when the Big Blue Wrecking Crew comes into town...

Go Dodgers!!!

newself Jan 10, 2002 6:39 pm

Koko,

You can't quit drinking yet, we have to go to Kell's again, one last time!

Catman Feb 10, 2002 4:59 pm

One reason it looks like I"m going is because I really really really want to go to the Boeing plant tour (the one that you have to get up at 6am to get in.)

I know of at least one other FLyertalker who also really wants to go to! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Now if someone wnats to join me I'll break down and go to this Kell's place (mainly because my acting Commander Catcop Newself owes me a whole Red Hook plant amount of beer! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Don't worry bro, you can stay paying me back in PHL.)

Anyone willing to get up on an early Friday morning and join me? I'd love to do this with friends.

So I guess missy my answer is I'll be there (pending work and other commitments getting in the way)

DADISGARYK Feb 10, 2002 6:27 pm

wow -- if I come to this, not only will I get to see Dhammer and Tom911 again, but I would get to meet Jan_Az and Kokonutz...sounds good to me.

SFOJFK Feb 10, 2002 7:08 pm

It's way early, but put me in as a possible. I would love to come and see my Yanks crush the M's.

TravelWeary Apr 1, 2002 7:16 pm

Picked up two lousy seats for the Friday game yesterday (but Hey it's the Yankees so what's lousy), but there were only singles left for Saturday and Sunday games. I still think it would be fun to park ourselves at FX McRory's and drink all those great beers on tap (30) like Guinness and watch the game within spitting distance of Safeco.

ILuvParis Apr 10, 2002 4:32 pm

OK, TravelWeary, at your insistence, I'll put myself down as a maybe.

SFOJFK Apr 10, 2002 6:01 pm

So when is everybody going? I will probably pick up tickets soon too. BTW TravelWeary, do you still want me to pick up tickets for when the M's come down to play the A's?

Friday nights game is the game of choice. We'll have a meeting place set up for post game festivities.

ScottC Apr 10, 2002 6:58 pm

After the great time I had in SEA this weekend I think I am going to have to make room for this one!!

missydarlin Apr 10, 2002 7:03 pm

Here's the scoop on tickets.

We have 11 in the left field bleachers for Friday nights game. 8 are together and 3 are singles in the same section but scattered a few rows down. For right now we'd like to open these up first come first serve to the out of towners who are coming in.

Tickets are $13 each

The first 11 who reply get the goodies and payment instructions.

GO M's!!

dhammer53 Apr 10, 2002 8:33 pm

Missy,

Where shall I send the money? I hope the Yankees continue on their winning way.

At this rate I won't be travelling with a NY cheesecake. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/tongue.gif

Dan

Spiff Apr 10, 2002 9:58 pm

Please put me down for a ticket, preferably one of the 8 together. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

On another note, are we going to find a nice, cheap 4/5 star hotel for this shindig like we have for the Chicago party?

[This message has been edited by Spiff (edited 04-10-2002).]

markbach Apr 10, 2002 10:04 pm

I'd like a ticket, and I want to sit next to newself! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Joh Apr 10, 2002 10:27 pm

Is there likely to be anything happening on Sunday? We right now are flying into MIA from Rio de Janiero arriving 4.35am Sunday 18th. If so we *might* be able to cop a change fee and route GIG-MIA-IAD-SEA-SYD arriving SEA midday, and departing Monday evening. (Restricted TA fare so will be complicated!)

ScottC Apr 10, 2002 10:41 pm

Haha! Getting up at 6:40 am does have it's advantages, please count me in for a ticket as well!
