Ahh yes, the bus to Sea-tac. http://transit.metrokc.gov

The 194 to Seattle takes you from Sea-tac to downtown with only a couple of stops. It stops in the bus tunnel in downtown. The bus stop at the airport is on the baggage claim level on the south end of the terminal. It runs about twice an hour. The 174 also goes to downtown but stops FREQUENTLY between the airport and downtown. I've taken these routes before so if you need anymore info that you can't find on the website, email me.

And fares aren't simply $1.25; they are confusing (and I don't pay attention to fares because I have a pass). For example, a peak hour trip (3-6pm) from the airport to downtown is $2. Read the fare info online.

I'd really recommend Downtown over the airport. With the priceline rooms being so cheap right now..its really worth the few extra $$ than to have to worry about transpo from the airport area every day.

If you really need a ride from the airport, I'd be happy to make one trip out on the 16th and drop people from the airport to downtown (taking the HOV lane!). You all can coordinate it amongst yourselves. I can fit 3 others in my car.

How about a beautiful afternoon/evening sail on the bay with the city skyline in the background and the sunset behind the Olympic Mts. while enjoying a nice glass of wine or two?

OK, here's the deal. For those of you who won't be attending the game on Friday, I'll be able to take out 5 people for an evening sail on the bay before we head to Kells. As of today, I haven't been able to reserve a berth for Friday night at the Bell Harbor Marina on the waterfront. I won't know for sure until that day, so for now, we will be sailing from the Elliott Bay Marina on Friday and Saturday morning. http://128.121.190.9/
I do have a berth reserved for Saturday night at the Bell Harbor Marina, http://www.portseattle.org/harbor/re...l.htm#location ,so we'll be able to do some sailing on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from there.
The Bell Harbor Marina is easily accessible from downtown by trolley on the waterfront or walking.

The boat, for it's size, feels alot larger than it is. The only problem is that the cockpit isn't really very large, especially if the boat is heeling in strong winds.
However, Punki has finally convinced me after 30 years that just because there may be another sailboat on the water, I don't have to be in a race with it. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif So now I just ease the sheets and take it easy. Hunki: great boat - what's her name? I'll come and wash the rail with you. We may need to tie Ozstamps to the mast however with a squeeze bottle so that:
a) he doesn't fall overboard or gets in the way and
b) he doesn't spill his champagne.

Hunki. Here on the Chesapeake Bay we call it "burying the rails"...

Unfortunately, my parents realized a few yaers ago that I was getting more use out of their boat than they were. They of course offered to sell it to me at which point I suggested a lovely room for them at a local retirement home.... end of story. There is no more boat (Irwin 34 Citation) and my parents are doing quite well without the supplementary oxygen. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

My first boat that I owned when I first met Punki was a Swedish-built lapstrake hull Scandinavian Folkboat http://www.zyworld.com/folkboats/video.htm with such low freeboard that I was able to drag my hand in the water when sitting on the leeward side. I would frequently "bury the rails", the deck and the cockpit combing boards on that boat.
