Well, here I am, having just crossed the 10,000 post level. It's been an interesting year although all flying has been European.
This includes two Business class XP runs on Air France KLM to destinations like Krakow, Lisbon and Helsinki, in July and October.
I also did a trip from Milan to Thessaloniki on a mixture of Air Dolomiti and Austrian Airlines in late September.
And, in August, due to a strike with Deutsche Bahn (German rail) I booked a one way Miles & More ticket on SAS from Dusseldorf to Geneva, which allowed me a day in Copenhagen.
I have written trip reports for all of these adventures, although I haven't yet started uploading the latest XP run on Air France KLM to Krakow and Helsinki (and Krakow again).
The Crazy Krakow Lisbon XP Run
The Copenhagen Salmon Leap (SK Economy Class DUS-CPH-GVA)
The Halkidiki Olive Branch

Well, it's been an interesting ride so far. The site has given me a great deal, not just in miles and points collecting but in travel awareness and etiquette. I hope I have been able to feed back into it in some ways over the years,
One thing that can be difficult in this virtual world is dealing with difficult or sharp posts. I think a bit of spice and open criticism is needed to keep us on our toes. That should be part of life here, otherwise it can become a totally bland and uninteresting place. The thing is in finding a way to deal with it and reply to it, if at all. My way is to back off during an overnight and approach it again the next day when you have a bit of time. Doing that, I have often deleted an impetuously written post or just simply ended up ignoring the issue, because most of the time it turns out to be a non issue anyway. And, let's face it, many of these things are pretty much about our own egos! There's something to be said for the analogy about water off a duck's back.

Not sure what to post.
How about this:

Also, since it is a relatively relevant number, there's actually a wikipedia entry:
