Mets game...Friday night of the Freddies weekend

Anyone interested in attending a New York Mets baseball game on Friday night April 26?

This is the night after the Freddies, and the night before the dhammer53 Reality Tour of Brooklyn.

Mets vs. MIL (not the match of the century)

We can meet there and buy (cheap) tickets.

Are you still doing this? Is it at Candlestick Park or anywhere good? (Uh, is CP in NY?)

:confused airhead:

Oy. Now please pay attention.

New York, New York, it's a hell of a town
The Bronx is up and the Battery's down
The people ride in a hole in the ground
New York, New York, it's a hell of a town.

In New York, CP (if we bothered with abbreviations) would refer to Central Park. Candlestick Park is in San Francisco (actually, South San Francisco) and they don't even play baseball there any more. Presumably, dhammer53's suggested event will take place at Shea Stadium, which is named for a lawyer who was chiefly responsible for the construction of ... Shea Stadium.

Lisa,

You're so cute.

The Mets are playing pretty good these days.
Hard to believe no one is interested; but then again, very few Freddie attendies have responed to anything.

Can't believe not 1 response to my post about a post Freddies breakfast. This is not a busy time of year for me. All I'm trying to do is make all the out of towners feel welcome in New York.

So to answer Lisa, maybe a few people will be interested in going to the game. We'll try to organize Thursday at the Freddies.

ha ha ha, of course!

I have the weirdest brain. Like, I can remember the most involved complex stuff, but try and get me to remember trivia, the locations of the great ballparks or the most mundane sh*t, like how to screw in a lightbulb ...

Hi Seeya,

If we can get some interest (at least 5), we can go. Otherwise take the #7 train to Shea Stadium.

I can't go but I hope you all have lots of fun. I went to last night's game (I had to see Tino Martinez) and wanted to remind you all that in order to be allowed into Shea, you aren't allowed to carry any bags, coolers, briefcases, pretty much anything except a purse. In fact, their security was a lot more stringent than at Yankee Stadium. They had me open up my coat and two men looked me up and down. I wanted to slap them!

Have fun!

Dan,

Count two more in for the game. I'll also be at the Freddies tonight.

If anyone is not going to the Freddies tonight, please e mail me your cell number.

I'll be driving to the game from White Plains. Some flyertalkers will be taking the #7 train. We'll need to coordinate a meeting spot.

By the way, the #7 train begins in Times Sq, at 7th ave. and 42 st. The next stop is 5th ave and 42 st. Then, Grand central which is 42st and Lexington or Madison Ave. It then heads east to Queens. Just follow the crowds after that.

Any questions...I won't be checking the board till after midnight NY time. Maybe WAY after.

Dan
