Hi guys ... I haven't been paying attention to FT for a couple of days (I would have offered some alternative suggestions--but there will no doubt be other opportunities). I guess I have no particularly good reason not to join you, especially considering I'll probably be force-fed sushi if I don't.

So, in addition to forgetting to pack a coat, an umbrella, and my cell phone charger (my phone is dead, btw, if you tried to call me and didn't get through), markbach forgot to wear his FT pin today.
For those of you who have not met me, I'm 5'1" with brown hair and glasses, and I'm wearing an off-white polo shirt, greenish-gray khakis, and of course I have my trademark camera.
See ya in a little while...

Sorry Mark. You get the west coast winter weather, while it's 70 here in DC this weekend. I guess we're trading weather. BTW, I've got my ATW stuff with so I'm hot as hell out here while you're freezing in SF.

but mark, we'd know you from your fabulous pictures you always post...
excellent time, excellent food, excellent company...and markbach's first Thai food ever! he tried some of everything and he has the pictures to prove it..even a fried banana....
great to meet BingoSF and Kluau88 (whose name I know how to pronounce now so I can add the info to the OMNI thread) and get the scoop on many different Starwoods...
Basil Thai Restaurant accomodated us well and kept the water, wine and Thai iced tea flowing. Magic and Jerrie and EPS (who was on his best behavior and wore a clean shirt ) gave me the scoop on some priceline strategies for ORD in May.
Consensus was the duck was spicy and flavorful, the corn cakes were very filling and we were all eyeing Bingo's Coffee Granita with whipped cream whole munching on fried banana and ice cream.
For a skinny guy, Kluau can REALLY pack it away without being the worse for wear.
A great time w/ FT's old and new -thanks markbach, for suggesting this dinner and keeping the thread going long enough for all of us to get together. Next time we will make sure the derelicts aren't passed out in front of the adult video store as you walk by..
