Well... I am in the army from 2/11. BUT I get to leave on weekends... If I find an affordable place to stay plus a good fare for the flight, I'd escape the Swiss Army for just a weekend.

airoli: If you can't find a cheap flight, you could always borrow a PZ68 tank and drive.

I'm sure it's easy to sneak out of the parking lot with one of these...

Yes, I have a place picked out and I will take care of the reservations. I was waiting until I reserved this weekend (in function of the number of attendees) to post the specific details. Patience, dear belle!

Is this still going to be a lunch event on 2/16, or is it dinner? We would prefer the latter as our late morning arrival in Paris doesn't give us much time, if any, to freshen up from our "redeye" from DFW. However, we can manage it if gathering is indeed pour dejuner.

George, I think a number of us would love to have dinner with you & your wife on Sat. Perhaps we can get a suggestion from one of the 'locals' as to a good spot!

Myself and a group of AA engineers are in town that day. If you wouldn't mind a group of greasy, oily hairy guys joining you, let us now. We do brush up nice though!

Bye for now

Mauld:

One of my favorites is la table ronde in the Sentier district. WONDERFUL duck! You have to make reservations though. It's very small but lovely.

May I ask a few questions? I have a five hour layover at CDG the morning of Feb 17th. Scheduled DL 44 in coach (ugh!) arriving 8:30 AM. Sorry I'll miss your party.

1 Can anyone recommend an arrivals lounge that will allow entrance for a fee?

2 Is there a kiosk or store where I can buy an Itineris (mobicarte) sim card? Wicked thought: do I have time to leave the airport and have the phone unlocked?

Thanks, Jim

Any word yet on our chosen spot for lunch, and Matthew I'm sure you and your associates would be more than welcome!
(PS- what excuse did you use to get out of the wedding?)
