The first ever Anchorage Mini-Do!

Anchorage Mini Do

December 27th, 2001

6:45pm in the bar at Glacier Brewhouse 737 W. 5th Avenue for pre dinner drinks/ meet and greet. Dinner at 7:15pm. Then we can move down the street to Humpy’s for a little local nightlife.

A couple things to do while you're in town………..

Downtown Anchorage Walking Tour

Anchorage Museum of History and Art

If youre up for an out of downtown adventure…head out to the Alyeska Resort. Take the Aerial Tramway up to the Seven Glaciers Restaurant for dinner or a sunset cocktail. They are offering a special prix fixe menu for Christmas and New Years Eve dinners.

Ahhhh..... My former hometown. I wish I could join you folks for the first annual Anchorage FT Mini-Do. Missydarlin can use her Mariners-Yankees pretzel as a hockey puck.

Punki someone suggested another DO during Fur Rondy time. Does visiting for the start of the Iditarod sound good? I hope we can put something together then.

I'll be there. I'm not looking forward to spending a week in Palmer in the cold. I moved away from Wisconsin for the very reason.

This will be a nice reason to get out of the house. I'm sure I'll need a little time away from my family (all 11 of them) by then. :-)

I have always wanted to go to Alaska (and Antarctica) but not in the dead of winter.

I am definitely a warm weather girl.

I would be happy to fly up there when it is a bit warmer. Keep me posted eastwest if you plan another one.

As long as I don't count as one of the 11 family members baraboodish is trying to get away from I'll be there.

I'd love to head south and join you guys in Anchor Town but the airfare is prohibitive and as this cold snap is supposed to keep the interior in its icy grip for awhile longer, (-27 for the high in Ester today) I don't want to subject my poor truck to the stress. Have a great time!

I'll be there!

Seat 2A, I just got back from Dillingham and it was -28 and windy! I thought I was going to die!

I didn't eat most of the time because I couldn't face the 3 block walk to the store!

Maybe you can use mileage to fly here?

I admire the hardy types willing to meet in ANC in December. Me, I'm with ChanelCinq - who I had the pleasure of meeting at the FTer event in SAN this past summer - where it's warm!!
