Ahhhh..... My former hometown. I wish I could join you folks for the first annual Anchorage FT Mini-Do. Missydarlin can use her Mariners-Yankees pretzel as a hockey puck.

Count me in! I'm looking forward to finally meeting some fellow FTers.
Mmmm.. I just ate, but GB still sounds good right now. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif -Robert |
Shoot, I really want to do an Alaska party in the winter, but I can't get up there on teh 27th. Can we do another one in January?
|
Punki someone suggested another DO during Fur Rondy time. Does visiting for the start of the Iditarod sound good? I hope we can put something together then. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I'll be there. I'm not looking forward to spending a week in Palmer in the cold. I moved away from Wisconsin for the very reason.
This will be a nice reason to get out of the house. I'm sure I'll need a little time away from my family (all 11 of them) by then. :-) |
I have always wanted to go to Alaska (and Antarctica) but not in the dead of winter.
I am definitely a warm weather girl. I would be happy to fly up there when it is a bit warmer. Keep me posted eastwest if you plan another one. ------------------ The world is a book, and for those who do not travel, read only a page. -Saint Augustine |

As long as I don't count as one of the 11 family members baraboodish is trying to get away from I'll be there.

eastwest missydarlin rwinn baraboodish jwright How about Stef315 and Rickinanchorage? Will y'all be in town? If so, RSVP! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif |
I'd love to head south and join you guys in Anchor Town but the airfare is prohibitive and as this cold snap is supposed to keep the interior in its icy grip for awhile longer, (-27 for the high in Ester today) I don't want to subject my poor truck to the stress. Have a great time!
|
I'll be there!
Seat 2A, I just got back from Dillingham and it was -28 and windy! I thought I was going to die! I didn't eat most of the time because I couldn't face the 3 block walk to the store! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Maybe you can use mileage to fly here? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif |
I admire the hardy types willing to meet in ANC in December. Me, I'm with ChanelCinq - who I had the pleasure of meeting at the FTer event in SAN this past summer - where it's warm!!
