Vancouver Gathering: 26-28 October 2001
There will be an FT Vancouver gathering 26-28 October 2001.
This event was born on the AC board. The specific events are still in the works, but I thought I'd get the dates and names on this board before it's too late:

Any ideas for the actual events?
I started giggling here when thinking of one possibility: dinner at one of the 2 Delta hotels in downtown Vancouver. Many AC frequent fliers have probably recieved coupons from Delta Privilege which can be used towards meals. Perhaps this would be a good opportunity to use them! (it might end-up being the largest redemption of those coupons in history!)
Anyway, just a thought, perhaps a crazy one at that(?)... Comments?

Okay... I spoke with robyyz moments ago, and he is feeling a bit overwhelmed by the task of be the chief of our events to be held in Vancouver in just under two weeks. As such, I have decided that I shall take on the role as co-organizer along with Rob. FlyBoy you seem to have shown some interest in be an co-organizer as well? Want to join the fun?
As well, your list above FlyBoy could use some updating. AC*SE would appear by your list to be both confirmed and unconfirmed.

Fisch: There has been some discussion of some people arranging an outing to a bar called Odyssey (1251 Howe Street) at some point over the weekend. (I think it is a gay bar, but I'm sure straight people are welcome). Perhaps you can see if people are interested and if so fold this into your event planning?

Fisch: just a friendly suggestion - you might want to throw some ideas/plans for the weekend onto this thread soon, as there is not a whole lot of time left! If in doubt ask AC*SE. I am sure he will have some neat ideas!

have never been to any FT gathering before, so I'm looking forward to this one. am leaving tomorrow for China, and will be flying back from PEK to YVR on 10/26....hopefully, there will be event/time/contact information posted here by then.
