I'll also be there. Just name the time, date and place after National reopens.

Let me know when you're going to do it, and as long as it's not September 30 to October 3, or October 31 to November 4, or possibly October 20-21, I'm game.

No fear of flying here.

I propose a tentative date of October 8. Place and time to be determined, as soon as we receive word about official opening.

This is a Monday and is the holiday observed for Columbus Day. Most of us will either be in an airport traveling to or from DCA (hopefully) or off from work.

I'm doing DC on the weekend of the 20th, airport TBA. If this becomes the weekend of the event, count me in.

I'd be up for that. I live just south of the airport and really miss the convenience of DCA (although I don't miss the sound of the planes at 6 am Sunday morning)

The timing could be good since I'll be in D.C. on Thursday. Hope the opening coincides with my visit.

With the announced opening, I just booked reservations to DCA for next week but will keep BWI on standby because I think it will be a slow start.

Show of hands, is Thursday evening around 6300pm to soon? It is the first day of opening with limited service and I am not certain yet if people not flying will be allowed in due to the various check points that will be installed for people greeting passengers.

I am hosting a happy hour on Thursday night and the restaurant is donating all of the proceeded to the Red Cross Fund. I can't miss out on drinking for the cause.
If you all are still around after 8ish I'll meet up with you later.

For Thursday evening Oct. 4 I have Orioles tickets and was planning a drive to Baltimore to see Cal Ripken play baseball one last time. Friday evening would be good, however, and would also eliminate most worries about having to wake up and go to work the next morning.

Although, actually I am working Saturday afternoon since I'll be reporting on a beer festival in the Shirlington area of Arlington. (Getting paid to drink free beer -- there are times when writing for a beer magazine has its advantages.)
