The new layout seems ready to handle a lot of growth -- I already spend too much time here!
Oh, and here's yet ANOTHER vote for something other than white for the background. It's too harsh for these 40-something eyes.

The plain white background has to go!
Overall, there are many improvements that are welcome to see here. Since FT stuck with Infopop's UBB script, I still wonder why they are using an older version 5.47e when UBB is current up past 6.0?? Just wondering? Some of the newer smilies seem to be compressed so much that they appear distorted (running IE 6.01 using 1600x1200 resolution?)?
