Well onefreeman makes his first FT posts in 3 years and decides to bump up moldy 5 year old threads that were originally locked. I guess I or other Candidates could also bump up a pile of 4 or 5 year threads too, but I am sure that would NOT be something Randy would regard as in the best interests of Flyertalk.

You are right Wingnut - I'll bet my house that onefreeman was also posting as "mileshog" just 2 days back when Randy and Mods needed to edit out that nonsense. And needed to lock down another moldy thread another FT'er "helpfully" bumped here just a few days back.

'mileshog' was most clearly a duplicate handle - himself posting 6 years back (way before I joined FT) he "used to be a frequent poster" (currently has just 3 posts against that handle.) He was whining about FT even back then:

onefreeman - why didn't you just nominate as a candidate instead of this silliness? Then all could see how many votes of support for your potential contributions to TalkBoard there would be. Stand up and be counted. @:-)

Interesting. I posted the same about mileshog, my post was deleted, and then I was sent a PM saying not to do that again. So why is your post being allowed?

I find the concept of "if you don't run, then be quiet" fascinating.

If mileshog was indeed a duplicate handle, I wish the owner would have just posted as him/herself, taken the inevitable suspension, and been done with it. I fear that a sympathy "poor boy is being picked on" vote is a tragic result.

I'm beginning to believe that the FT membership would vote in OJ Simpson for LA County Coroner.

Pretty funny on the OJ stuff.

No, I am not voting for Ozstamps, but the smearing, spare handles, etc. by his opponents is despicable. However,...,this is more entertaining then the idiots we have on both sides of aisle in D.C.

I didn't believe it when someone told me these threads came back.

Interesting reading.

Though as before, sounds like people have made up their minds on both sides of this polarizing figure. Funny how Talkboard resembles US politics.

Jon,

Welcome back! Some of us have missed you. You're even in my signature.

Thanks, Nick.

Though to invoke Silent Cal's campaign strategy, "I choose not to run."

Cute story. Coolidge was mayor of my town. Every year we had a 5K run, called the, "I choose not to run 5K."

Jon,

Welcome back to Flyertalk. We've missed you in Chat.

As for onefreeman, the oldtimers around Flyertalk would remember onefreeman as having an impecable reputation around these parts.

As for duplicate handles... come on Oz.
If I may borrow from another FT member pot kettle black.

This is not a flame, just a statement of fact.

Dan

Thanks

Dan, CG : Thanks

I got an IM telling me to check out the resurrection of some of my posts.

Life has been exceptionally busy on my side. We've added a member to the Toner clan. Julia turned a year old in September.

She also kept our lucky 13 streak alive. The kids were born on 3/13, 5/13, 8/13 and 9/13.

Congratulations on the new addition! Hope to see you posting more soon!

As has said before in other old bumped-up threads that raise issues implicating FT TOS about publicly discussing member conduct: they were enjoying their repose and should continue in that state. Thread closed but the very recent posts to share news about the latest in a FTer's life, i.e., return to FT and new addition to family are all what Community is about and those involved are welcome to share and discuss that.
