They are airline employees (CSR reps, gate agents, Club agents, etc) that are alaways willing to go the extra mile.

The angels are the relationships with exceptional people some our FTer's have met or talked to. They can be FA's, TA's , elite staff, club personel and even ground crew and pilots. We have all know them for various reasons, but probally many, many trips with the same faces and a bit of conversation and understanding of both the FF and employee needs carry the most "weight". I am glad they are here!

In my experience, the best "Angels" are the ones that work at CSRs at airports. They can do wonders with upgrades, baggage issues, etc.

Gaucho, what do you mean by CSRs at airports? Do you mean the people at the general Customer Service Desk?

If so, I would suggest you try another route if you are ever in Seattle. The RCC or 1K agents are terrific, but in SEA the general CSR desk is a little scary.

one of my 'angels' is Miss Daisy Hischier at the LH downtown counter in Zurich (Wanderlust and Catman know her too now).

She smiles when I arrive, she stops working only when she finished working on my ticket/itinerary/whatever - even if everybody else in the office left long ago.

She knows that if I give her an UA upgrade voucher and explain the rules, that I am correct and will then herself 'instruct'/'correct' UA's people (sometimes in FRA, practically always in Ireland) if they first give an uncorrect answer (like a SWU, 2000-'edition', wouldn't be good for upgrade from business 'D' to 'First' on a *rtw-UA-segment).

She will give me a phone call the day/night before taking off, just to make sure everything is to my satifaction (upgrades confirmed, latest flight time changements, adding my latest hotel bookings to my itinerary, etc.).

She calls a day after my return trip and asks if everything was to my satisfaction (and if not, like when my ski-boots didn't make it to Vancouver, will help).

She once called Gisela early in the morning, telling her that my transatlantic flight didn't make it in time to FRA and that I was automatically rebooked for a later connecting flight to Zurich.

... and she doesn't dislike Spruengli and/or Teuscher chocolates and even accepts it from Catman and Wanderlust

My guardian angels are Debbie, Jackie, Nida and Scott and the Presidents Club in San Francisco. They always make me feel good when I start out on a trip. And they have gone the extra mile for me any number of times.

Like Miss Hischier, they are also fond of Teuscher and Joseph Schmidt chocolates.

Another of my guardian angels is Diane, who drives for Luxor Cabs in SF. She nearly always takes me to SFO, and helps get my journeys started on the right foot. If anyone needs a dependable cab driver early in the morning in San Francisco, I would be glad to give you a referral.

I have had help from many angels in United's Red Carpet Club and CO's Presidents Club across the United States. The America West Club in Phoenix has especially angelic angels.

My Angel's names and locations are closely guarded secrets and must be kept confidential in order to protect the guilty!
