OK...Big update:

Freddie Junior is in the capable hands of frefaller12K - off to meet Magic111 at SFO tomorrow.

Magic111 will bring him back to SFO. Frefaller12K will pick him up and bring him to BWI. Kokonutz (now announced going to the Seattle shindig) can take him to the gathering of Flyertalkers there. Catman can then bring Jr. back to EWR in time to meed Vulcan's October 4th departure.

I'm in Vegas, and being looked at as the wierdo I am because I'm doing this and not out having fun.

I'm e-mailing this post to all involved. Please work it out and confirm before Magic111 gets on a plane tomorrow. I'm off to see the new Aladdin.

Mark and I can always get together before October 4, even if its just for a Sam Adams at the PC, so we will work it out between us.
If Freddie has a chance to go on another trip between Mark's return and October 4, I will be glad on any day at any time to pick him up at EWR or PHL.
Ed

It would be an honor indeed to escourt Jr. DCA-SEA for the sat. night shindig there. I could also give him to Geo to take out there one day earlier so he does not miss the pub crawl.

Freefaller, let me know your BWI plans so we can arrange the exchange...

While normally one to shirk responsibilty, I would be happy to escort Freddie Jr. to SEA in time for the Friday night pub crawl. Besides, Freddie would probably like to sample US Airways FC. He's spent WAY too much time with United employees this year.

I'm sorry, as a frequent flyer of Continental, I haven't been following the "late and non existant flight" problems of those other carriers.

Is there a difference between United and US Air?...I thought that that was some sort of the point?

I can take the baton. I leave DUS on the 13th of Nov. Can hand him off the 17th in PDX or 18th-20th in SEA/SFO/LAX or possibly???

AAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Hi from the America West Club in LAS.

This is getting very complicated...I got a voice mail on my cell phone earlier that Frefaller12k had problems finding Magic111 in SFO....I'd like to know if that happened or not.

No matter what, the painstakingly and tirelessly coordinated plans are FUBAR...So I'll recover from my two days in LAS, have Labor Day weekend with my family, and try to figure it all out.

Please e-mail me with status and offers...

kokonutz: Freddie Jr. went with us to SYD:
HNL-SYD-HNL in addition to HNL! You wouldn't want to short change him on his due mileage, would you?

To ensure proper credit, he will need to mail me 3 copies of his ticket and two copies of his boarding pass stubs

I knew I was missing a segment!

Neat map Kokonutz.

All that is needed to visit EVERY non Antarctic continent is a trip to Africa and South America.

Can't help with Africa, but someone on FT must surely be visiting there before year end?

Visiting Chile for Xmas, and Falkland Islands and probably Easter Is, all before December 31 (and via many USA hubs to easily collect on way thru) so if no-one else carries to South America please pencil that possibility in, NJ David.

Taking this one step at a time....

Just confirmed friday that Frefaller12K did not make the handoff to Magic111 in SFO. He tried, but could not reach Magic111 or his wife on their wireless phone after multiple attempts .

Frefaller12K has brought Junior to BWI, where Kokonuts will pick him up and arrange a chaperone to the Flyertalk Seattle 2nd annual get together. Then someone (probably Catman) will bring Junior back to EWR to give to Vulcan for his October 4th flight.

After that - well, as I said before, one step at a time.....
